Philipsen has potentially lost his lead out man... CMON PROJECT 35!!
  • F**K SAKE... Why could the peleton just be a little more careful?
  • Cav well pissed off but great to see how pleased he is for Girmay

Not surprised... Missed a great chance, Some of the GC riders seemed way too involved in that, given they were beyond the 5km

  • Big day today. Real test of the fitness of the Visma riders and any GC hangers on

Brilliant, it looks like UAE are doing their utmost to hit Vingegaard before he gets himself settled in to racing at full capacity over the next few weeks.

TBH, it's amazing that he is as competitive as he is.

That said, I still think that the Tour really needs a Frenchman to win sometime very, very soon.
  • Brilliant team work by UAE
  • The way Team Astana are riding at the front of the peloton, it reminds me of the Team Columbia days - Today is the DAY!!
  • Fan bloody tastic
    Cavendish!!!!!
  • YES CAV
  • Get the fuck in, yes Cav
  •   Get in there. That was rough.
  • I'm shaking!!
  • Yesssssss fucking stunning

lol! I've been watching whilst taking my Son to squirrels (Lowest level of Scouts) - Have had to stand outside, as I usually help, as couldn't miss that

Some of the other leaders saw me celebrating and wondered what the hell I was on... That was one of his best wins as well, that wasn't handed to him by any means
  • Brilliant that. Absolutely superb sprinting nous. He's the greatest sprinter we've ever seen.
  • Great team ride by Astana getting up front so early, but in the end it was all about Cav

Number 36 is certainly a possibility
  • Sounds like Cav possibly lost his chain on the line?

    Yup he did

Nothing was stopping him... Such a shame they're not finishing on the Champs Elysee, he deserve to lead the peloton on to the cobbled streets
  • Cav asking Pog not to beat his record … love it lol

Saw a terrific clip of Cav’s wife and kids passing the cyclists near their buses.

His youngest son turned to his mum and said, look it’s Tadej.

Pog called him over, chatted, ruffled his hair, and gave him his yellow cycling glasses - great memory for him on the day his dad got the record.
Its crazy really listening to the likes of Tadej talking about Cavendish as a legend, and someone they looked up to... In that regard it hard to believe that one of the best GC riders in the world would see Mark in that light, but in reality shows the Age gap, even Bini was saying that he was only nine when he started winning!!
