  • The vaunted riches of the prem. Man United report losses of £113 million pounds, which brings losses in the last 5 years to £370 million.
The joint owners of Chelsea who paid £2.3 billion  for the club are at each others throat.
  • Ridiculous numbers.

"Manchester United have reported a net loss of £113.2m in the year to 30 June, their latest accounts show. It follows losses of £28.7m in 2022-23 and £115.5m in 2021-22, and their latest figures take total losses over the past five years to over £370m."

Anyone want to bet they won't be charged for failing PSR or deducted any points? The whole thing is a farce.

there's nothing dodgy going on at Chelsea.  Its what they planned all along.

Clearlake is a Saudi backed wealth fund.  Todd Boely was the face of it to get through the red tape.  Now the Saudi's want their full control for the money.

Boely walks away with a bundle of cash in his pocket and the Saudi's take over.

    Nothing dodgy at all...no Sir!

Interesting stats after 3 games on Southampton:

    Possession 68.1% 2nd
    Passes 1926 2nd
    Passing accuracy 89.5% 2nd
    Poss won in final 1/3  3.  20th
    Goals scored 1. 20th
    Points 0.   19th

Only 3 games but the stats scream out to me !

I can see United forcing the saints into mistakes at the back as Russell Martin doesn't want to change from the way they played out from the back from last season.

18 year old saint, Tyler Dibling so near with a great run and shot which nearly beat Onana who tipped it around the post.

  • Dibling wins the pen after being fouled by Dalot and Archer who never looked confident missed.
United go 1 up from a corner minutes later by de ligt.
  • The Southampton penalty miss when they were the best team has totally deflated the saints.
Rashford makes it 2 when Ramsdale is unsighted when the ball creeps in through a lot of bodies in the area.
    0-2
  • I had the choice of bringing in either Salah or Haaland into by Fantasy Team. You can tell which one I chose from the scores today.
  • What a goal Duran

  • What a comeback. Nice that the ‘San Marino have won more games than Everton this season’ stat is still true.
  • What a goal Duran
Takes the suspense and surprise away from the Goal Of The Season competition ... all wrapped up with 32 rounds of matches to go.
  • Everton are hilarious.

Those possession/passing stats are heavily skewed from their opening game when they had something like 78% possession against a Newcastle side who played for over an hour with 10 men.

They look like they could be in trouble but 3 of their 4 games have been against Brighton, Spurs and Villa, who a lot of sides will lose to.

We'll have a clearer idea of how bad they are in the coming weeks. Their next 3 away games are Leicester, Ipswich and Southampton, and in amongst that they have Palace and Fulham at home.

Bournemouth are a great team to watch. Some brilliant football - unlucky not to be winning
  • Forest goalie got away with an unbelievable ricket against Liverpool. He got a bit lucky there! 😂
  • Spurs won't have a better chance to turn over an Arsenal team missing Rice and Odegaard in the middle of the park. In fact, with the possible exception of Sterling and Jesus (and they have 5 minutes of football between them this season), Arsenal's bench doesn't look to me that of a title chasing side - it includes five players 18 or younger:

Neto, Kiwior, Kacurri, Heaven, Lewis-Skelly, Sterling, Nwaneri, Jesus, Kabia.
  • Arsenal have 7 first-teamers out.

If Tottenham don't win today they never will.

    STOP SHOUTING YOU ABSOLUTE PONCE!
  • Cannot stand the theatrics, the rolling around on the floor and the screaming of premier league footballers when they barely get touched, let alone actually fouled, its embarrassing beyond belief

“I really like Peter Drury. He’s a really effective and engaging commentator.”

    SAID NOBODY. EVER.
  • Christ. Gillette adverts have always been excruciatingly twee and cheesy, but fuck me, do we really need to watch a full version of some spotty teenager singing their shitty song now too?
Makes me want to rip my ears off and my eyes out and flush them all down the bog.
    🙄
  • This 'former referee' talking about thresholds for second yellow cards being higher for no reason??
  • I hereby request permission to point at Totteringham and laugh.
  • Romero and Vicario dreadful there
