Good luck to him, Wont ever really dig a player out just because of their contract when thats a two way thing and usually down to the club and agent.
Gave him a chance, he tried, he wasnt good enough....... thaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaats football!

Yes we made a massive mistake here but, maybe he will find the sort of form for them as he demonstrated when scoring nine goals in nine game (including two against us no less) for Cambridge in League 1. That is, obviously, why they have re-signed him and I hope he finds a similar level of form because it will be easier for us to sell him, if he does, at the end of this season.YannTheMann said:

I’m not so sure. I think we’d have set the bar pretty low to start with after his last season. Cambridge don’t have a big budget so I’d be shocked if they are paying any more than 50% max, but I’d guess it’s probably lowerYannTheMann said:

My sentiments entirely. He did not join us to be crap, he just is and he will be pretty disappointed even on pretty decent money and probably with a promotion bonus.jose said:He tries hard.

Didn't he have a half decent spell at Cambridge before coming yo us. Maybe the movd will spark something and we can get a small return at the end of thecseason.1 -
Well, it's never worked out with us, so good luck to him, I hope he goes on to score some decent goals for Cambridge and stay injury free, both for his future career and, if he does, to maybe help our coffers get a transfer fee next summer.

It's a decent loan for him, back to a club and manager where he previously had the best form of his life. If anyone can get the best out of him, it will be Harris.6 -

A contender for worst Charlton player ever. Had no touch, couldn’t read the game, didn’t impose himself on other defenders. One of Nathan’s real dud signings, at least NJ had the nouse to drop him quickly. Glad Chapple is here preventing these mistakes.3

Even if he scores goals, I doubt many sides will match what we're paying him, so not much chance of getting him off our books before the end of his contract.
Still one of our strangest signings. Club seemed buzzing to get him through he door.1 -

Not a successful signing but he gave us a couple of great FA Cup days and that alone puts him well beyond some of the uninterested chaff we’ve picked up before. Best of luck to him at Cambridge7

I don’t think he deserves the stick he gets, at 1st I thought he had something about him, thought he didn’t lack effort. It became clear the step up wasn’t going to happen. Unfortunately it happens. I wish him well to be honest.13
