if you watch the Netflix TdF documentary and the one about Pidcock, you’ll know what a monster that man is on a bike, supreme

Looks like ol Frenchie tried to knock Pidcock's rear wheel once he passed?

That was fecking unbelievable. Incredible from Pidcock to make up that much ground. Thought he'd had it after that puncture.

That last passing move from Pidcock was insane. Well deserved gold after coming back from a puncture.

Horses, cycling, we're a nation of great riders of things.

Wonder how we fare in the Olympic village on that front, though the beds are made of cardboard so I doubt much goes on 😂

Probably late to the party but just seen our women have beaten SA to reach the Rugby Sevens' quarter finals.

I thought Pidcock would be one of the main favourites to get a gold for Team GB but I didn't expect him to do it in quite that fashion. Unbelievable ride.

Tom Pidcock with the speed and passing move, normally only shown by Deliveroo riders.

We're not having much luck with tyres so far
Not a ‘good year’ for our cyclists 😆😉

Plus the Aussie in silver was on a borrowed British horse apparently?
  • All the more impressive in that Pidcock had to withdraw from the Tour 2 weeks in with Covid. Guy's got cajones of steel and the bike handling skills to back it up.

You can see why he’s such a good descender in road races

Don't know the rules but the move to overtake did cause the French guy to unclip.......amazing comeback by Pidcock

Fair play to the Frenchman if not the crowd, who I'm sure we're expecting him to appeal hoping the commissioners would find for the host nation, to either relegate or DQ Pidcock. The rules are clear, but we all know how contentious decisions can come out of racing incident complaints.

Clean sweep of the medals if they had remote control channel hopping.

Didn't see anything wrong with the Pidcock move myself... there was a fork in the road, one went left, the other went right.

Will have to watch it back, but Pidcock looked ahead when they came out of it, and had his front wheel in clear air, when the Frenchie clipped him

Clearly the crowd thought their man was impeded. I'm not arguing there was anything wrong with it, but I was half expecting a frivolous appeal on his behalf, on the off chance they'd go to VAR.
