I thought Pidcock would be one of the main favourites to get a gold for Team GB but I didn't expect him to do it in quite that fashion. Unbelievable ride.
All the more impressive in that Pidcock had to withdraw from the Tour 2 weeks in with Covid. Guy's got cajones of steel and the bike handling skills to back it up.

You can see why he’s such a good descender in road races
Fair play to the Frenchman if not the crowd, who I'm sure we're expecting him to appeal hoping the commissioners would find for the host nation, to either relegate or DQ Pidcock. The rules are clear, but we all know how contentious decisions can come out of racing incident complaints.
Didn't see anything wrong with the Pidcock move myself... there was a fork in the road, one went left, the other went right.
Will have to watch it back, but Pidcock looked ahead when they came out of it, and had his front wheel in clear air, when the Frenchie clipped him
Clearly the crowd thought their man was impeded. I'm not arguing there was anything wrong with it, but I was half expecting a frivolous appeal on his behalf, on the off chance they'd go to VAR.

Wonder how we fare in the Olympic village on that front, though the beds are made of cardboard so I doubt much goes on 😂
Edit: Glad he's mentioned the booing, whoever did it should be ashamed, thats not the Olympics!!
