Not bad, bit scrappy at times. Rotherham have had their moments and we certainly have had ours.

Ahadme has won a good few battles, just need a flick on to find Godden.

Small has put a couple of dangerous crosses in, want to see some more second half for both Godden and Ahadme to try and get on the end of, our plays been a bit too central, two defenders often challenging with Ahadme so not leaving a great deal for Godden to feed off as hard to direct the ball.

Yeah much preferred when we could score 2 or 3 and still not win games…
I hope to end up eating humble pie, but we've not won it yet.
  • What does surprise is the fact that from the initial games this season; Rotherham had the highest xG in the Division, despite not having scored (pre-Huddersfield)? - I thought / expected them to create chance after chance, but they've looked even more clueless than us
  • Mitchell gets booked for having a go at the lino
If that's the bench mark for a booking, Rotherham's manager would be facing the death penalty for what he does.
You'd need a bloody big gun!!
I would say a 32-pounder ... but that's probably the size of his burgers.
  • Usual of decent defending and work rate but lacking quality and poor attack.
  • Rip roaring goal scoring haddocks are gonna ave it large 2nd half.
  • Ahadme looking more like a centre forward, getting on the end of balls and knocking things down. We haven't done enough, yet, no ball in from the wing backs, a lot coming from the centre backs rather than the midfield working in through balls.
  • We look like we dont know how to break sides down at all. A 5-6/10 first half, defensively solid, little to get excited about going forward
  • Will take time for the front 3 to gel but I think we’ve seen solid glimpses from Ahadme, Godden and Berry playing together. Hopefully Gas can get a goal and the confidence will follow. In the long run we’ve also got Leaburn to come in for Godden to offer a bit of extra strength and pace and of course Chuks to come on against a defence tired by Gas.

    + a large chips...🙄
  • neither side have the ability to score so 0-0
  • Just about saw the Xbar challenge...miss, now that should be shown better...

    This.

Although I'm.not a fan of tikka tacka it seems Jones has gone back to the 1970's & just hoof it up to the big man, hoping for a flick on.

Problem is the target man rarely heads it to one of his team mates & so the play breaks down.

Apart from the fact most of his headers have hit his man...

No, but we’ve shown this season we’re not limited like last seasons were. They leaked goals. Being strong defensively has kept us in 3 out of 4 league games before today.

Never going to do it, running straight at the ball.

Pity the important one didn't hit the target...🙄

I’d say 4 out of 4 until Savage pinged one in from 30 yards a week ago

We don’t look like giving up the first goal in a game easily anymore and that gives us a massive edge.

  • Well organised & good work rate. Lacking in quality. A fit and inform Myles Leaburn would complement the current strikers & make a real difference.
  • We are such a limited side.
I'm sure we'd all love to see a highly entertaining side where our players waltz around the pitch in top hat and tails, running rings around the oppo, scoring goals with abandon.

However as we've been down in this poxy-arsed shithole of a division for far too many years in our recent history we need to ensure we get out of it (upwards!) ASAP to avoid the club sinking towards oblivion.

As such, a workman-like, get-yer-overalls-on type of approach is needed, hopefully without relying on a couple of players each week to put on the Superman cape to rescue us.

Unfortunately that means it'll often be crap to watch.
  • Dire game. Agricultural from both. They have marginally more about them.  All we can do is hoof it to Ahadme who is willing but essentially hopeless. Midfield bypasses. Awful.
This. 2 teams both giving 100% but basically the game is an uncultured mess.

But they've had the only efforts on target. Mannion has had to make 2 saves. Phillips might as well still be at Wembley.

Shots on Target / Shots off Target have resulted in the same outcome though
  • Back under way.

Am glad we've been thoughtful enough to give Steve Evans his own chair.

Watch him sit on the bench and he's sending his subs into orbit!!
