No but I do expect the club to but up a spirited performance against our local rivals, I did not expect us to win but I did expect a spirited performance, not the utter inept rubbish that we witnessed today.
I expected utter inept rubbish, as I do every time we play Millwall away.4 -
Haven’t read most of today’s posts but surely no one is suggesting sacking Nathan Jones and hiring Richie fucking Wellens? Jesus Christ that would be an absolutely terrible decision4
-
Nathan Jones should not be sacked. Can’t believe so many are back on this. He deserves time with a proper squad to turn it around
If we don’t improve over the next month or 2, then Gary Rowett is the only sensible appointment. But even then that isn’t really an upgrade. Truth is that Jones is probably the best manager we can get at the moment so we should be sticking with him and giving him time to turn it around9 -
I think next week we will find out if he has lost the dressing room or not, because if we don’t get a reaction from the manager and the players we never will, so we need to hope for some reinforcements and a damn good week at the training ground, if the players have downed tools they need to remember they are playing for the shirt and the fans, because they didn’t today.2

Lost me at Will Still. Horrendous suggestion, imagine him trying to play his style of football here. Our players can barely pass the ball. Then it might even get worse with the Wellens suggestionAberystwythAddick said:

I generally agree with a lot of your posts but i think fans would be fucked off if we'd put that performance in against anyone. Yes it doesn't help it came in a local derby but i don't think anyone can argue we're only heading one way. Today was a disgrace of a performance and a few on here were pretty pissed off even after the last 2 performances.ForeverAddickted said:SELR_addicks said:

Relegation form.Yet we still haven't put a foot in the relegation zone... We've just lost to a team fighting for promotion, and on the roadContext needs to be put into place today, but of course it won't because emotions are running high, because its Millwall5 -

Yeah fairs, replace Jones with 2 managers he outperformed last season and that have never managed at this level. You went 4 from 4 for bad takes which is impressive in one postAberystwythAddick said:

Equally we've just lost for the second time in 4 days, and it would've been 3 defeats in a week if it wasn't for Sheff Utd's red cards.ForeverAddickted said:Italian_Addick said:
I think it would, when we went on that horrible run of getting battered it came off the back of our incredible start of the season run, whilst also coinciding with injuries to the majority of our back line and Kelaman. This defeat comes off 14 games of shit, and our last win only being thanks to a 9 man Sheffield and a relegation side in Oxford.ForeverAddickted said:The Red Robin said:

But then I'll "bore off"Yet despite our bad form, we've equally only just lost the second game this calendar year. There is a long way to go this season, still a lot of Football to be playedChambers looked alright going forward, and is frustrating that he cant last 90mins yet, its frustrating that we've gone this month without another fit Left-Back (through no deliberate act of anyone), but it at least allowed Campbell to look more of a threat going forward. Away from home is always going to be the concern, its why for months, its why ever since the start of the season I've said: "Win the Home Games / Draw the Away Games"1 -

There's talk of him losing the dressing room again but we had this around the time of the Crawley game and it turned out to be nonsense so I'm slightly loath to get sucked too far into that. I do think we need a shake up like we had after that game though. We changed shape, added width and started looking like a team who were enjoying being out on the pitch a lot more. Right now the press isn't there and we're not playing any football through the phases. A midfielder who can link the midfield and the defence would be great for an improvement this time round. Of course it is possible that he's fallen out with all the players but we're yet to hear anything concrete on that7

Seriously what makes you think Skubula would be good at championship level? Chris Davies who smashed up league one albeit with plenty of money, has spent even more this season and still not really pulled up any trees, far from it. Does that not tell you how tough this league is and no matter what style of football you play you are not guaranteed success. Skubula would be an extremely short sighted replacement in my opinion. Richie Wellens is not a championship level manager!AberystwythAddick said:

Not saying Jones out, but you’re the fucking manager, it’s your job to organise the team and make changes where needed. Last week we barely beat 9 men and you were saying how dangerous they could be on the break.

I've never been 'Jones out' but this talk of him falling out with players is worrying and if the dressing room is unhappy at a time when they all need to be pulling together then it's pretty concerning and we're potentially doomed.Sword65pf said:I think next week we will find out if he has lost the dressing room or not, because if we don’t get a reaction from the manager and the players we never will, so we need to hope for some reinforcements and a damn good week at the training ground, if the players have downed tools they need to remember they are playing for the shirt and the fans, because they didn’t today.
Next week we're playing a side who just got beaten at home by Oxford (who are terrible), so i'd expect us to be going there and giving it a good go. If it's another piss poor performance then serious questions will have to be asked about Jones ahead of the 3 game home run at the start of February that will probably make or break our season.5 -
Exactly the same shit was being said last season. It’s probably bollocks. Footballers are unhappy when they lose and when they don’t get selected. Same happens in every dressing room in the football leagueChris_from_Sidcup said:

If you were to name one manager that you think would probably rub a group of players up the wrong way, Jones would be at the top of most people's list wouldn't he?NabySarr said:

He's quick to take the plaudits when we win, even quicker to dig out the player collective when we lose.
He's buying and hammering square pegs into round holes, but it's all their fault when things go wrong. That would certainly irk with me10 -

We are utterly toothless going forward and we are leaking a decent amount of goals - I wouldn’t be so sure things will pick. The only way we will stay up is if we keep some clean sheets because we won’t be winning many games where we need to score 2/3/4 goalsSiv_in_Norfolk said:A lot of people getting carried away on this thread.

I love jones. Two years ago we were outside the league 1 relegation zone by a point, or was it goal difference. Now we are moaning because we are 18th in the championship.
im worried about the rumours of falling out with players and having lost the dressing room. If that’s true, he needs to go now.
if it isn’t true, the owners need to make money available to strengthen the squad. I also think the back team staff need help, we need an experienced coach to help sort out best pieces, attacking and defending them5
