One of the Welsh words for microwave is "Popty ping" .

And there's no J in that.

Looks like we’re entering the territory of what some seem to enjoy most, verbal sparring with other fans.

This Hollywood event is now upon us, what’s done is done, I suggest everyone ease back on the analysis and minutiae and concentrate on hoping our team performs in front of full stadium that we don’t get to see too often these days.

Hopefully it might prove the springboard for getting better crowds for non-Hollywood games.

    Come on you reds
It's what Methven is desperate for.
He promised the owners that when full , the place is rocking. And they might actually experience it tomorrow.
Will many of those casuals return?
If the usual dirge is served up as per usual, I very much doubt it

So let me get this straight, CAST are expected to be against the club bringing in extra revenue via scarves 😂 some of you have lost the plot here.
You cannot possibly be defending this.

Club is a laughing stock (check twitter for evidence) for what might at best bring the club a couple of grand in revenue.
I’m not defending half and half scarves I laughed at them.  I’m attacking the reaction to the half and half scarves, it’s not like they got “free Palestine” or “heil hitler” on them.  It’s a product aimed at kids and nerds, who cares enough to be “embarrassed”?  Not me.

And please, twitter?  You can’t seriously use that platform as a source of evidence, its a cesspool of teenagers trying to look hard in front of their mates.
You think Free Palestine and Heil Hitler are equivalent?
    No.

They were the first two off the tongue political debates in my head.  Let’s not eh.
    You’ve done it now 😄

So much mutterings into cups of bovril about ephemera (scarves) and stuff other people enjoy (movies, tv, razzmatazz and worst of all - fun) .

Can’t we just post fatalistic comments about Parky’s Dobson, O’Connell and Lee tearing us a new one ?

OK, well I'm OK with "let's not" as long as you don't equate free Palestine with Nazism.

I think the “No” clarifies that.  Enjoy your weekend.

Haven’t been arsed to read all of this but strikes me as extremely embarrassing on our part!
    Who are they ?

I don’t know why the fans are getting so uptight about this. We all know how interesting people are over Wrexham because of the Disney and Ryan Reynolds. It’s not ideal but the club can take advantage of it so it will make people buy these.

I’m dreading seeing full of plastics around me but at the same time it’s good source of income for the club and the fans need to realise this!
It's pretty much always packed out near us, so we won't have many first time fans around us.
Assumed you’re North going by your Username so you have an advantage. I sit West Upper and there’s loads of empty seats around me.
Is that anything to do with you? Just a question.
No because West Upper is West Upper lol
  • Leaving aside the claim that 4,000 people from SE London and Kent attending are previously not on the database (which necessarily contains large assumptions), how many previously unknown people purchasing how many tickets come from outside that area in the UK? Shouldn’t be any more difficult to estimate.
They have told two massive whoppers Meire would have been proud of.

A stonker of a CL thread.  It's got it all and everyone should be bloody sick of it by the time Tinsel Town fucks off back to Wrexham. Let's face it, we are all culpable...  SO a round of applause!
I think starting this thread is the greatest achievement of my life  ! my usual threads get about 5 comments

  • I find it pretty funny that in amongst everything, about 8k extra fans turning up 'because it's Wrexham', and all the general fuss with the off field stuff, that Wrexham haven't even sold out the away end.

What are the odds on seeing people dressed as Deadpool or Wolverine in the home end tomorrow? Quite high I would expect
Who or what are Deadpool and Wolverine? Serious question.
Another one who lives under a rock . I don’t for one minute believe you’ve never heard of these.
    Nope.

Yes, but Wrexham are a small town club with less fans than us, who have been so poor that we haven't even played them since 1982.

There is little genuine interest in Wrexham the football team and if Reynolds and McElhenney sold up next week to Jones the butcher the interest would die off very quickly.

I don't know I think a football club being run by a serial killer would make for a much better TV show.

No, as he said he wouldn't be seen dead wearing one with the Charlton name on it.

So the club have now produced a number of Wrexham scarves & will be selling them in the club shop tomorrow.
