Lol, that video is absolute quality. Fair play to Gilbert for his play along, which was awesome 🤩 🤣
Hit his eyelines like a pro.

Don't care anymore. We all know what we need but we wont get them. Will be more moving deckchairs with a couple of players leaving (on loan- no one wants our dross) being replaced with the usual inept PL loanees or players at the twilight of their careers.

Highlight this post & re-visit again in February.
Posted this on the 1st page of this thread.

For once.....just for once, I'd like to be wrong and to be eating humble 🥧 at 11pm tonight.
    How about 09:30am this morning?
Nah he’s actually right you see but instead of inept Premier League loanee, he’s an inept Championship loanee so it’s actually even worse than he said.

    Loan in then.

I’ve a gut feel they’ll be another departure today.

    Day of Cawley watch ahead

Indeed, also the early timing suggests they are working on something else.

Absolute disgrace that we have loaned Golfie out to the Birmingham Life forum.

He still very much had a part to play on here in the run in to the end of the season.

Probably will be, doubt it would be a leaburn or TC, there’s no time to replace them now, same goes for small

What are you expecting, one of our better players to be sold?

My gut is suggesting the same, I've got back to back meetings as well till 1pm, so if my gut is right... I'd best get to the loo pronto

Not sure we have any obvious contenders to leave who are in and around the first team. If we sign another attacking player then I can see Kanu going out on loan which might be useful for his development
  • Leaburn is the only one I could see potentially going, and wouldn’t be shocked if he did.

Excellent. Seems just the player we need and he will hopefully be up to match fitness quickly.
If the loan works out, hopefully there is a chance to make it permanent.

  • Someone like James Jellis would be a great way to close out the window now

From the clips, AG was playing as a deep lying playmaker for the junior Bees.
He hasn't played that many games at a senior level, and isn't very solidly built, but he looks good on the ball, and can spray a pass. Let's hope he's ready for the rough and tumble of League One.

Edit: "isn't very solidly built" - That was based on the Brentford clips. He looks more robust in the Middlesboro clip where he scored the winner (without getting a name chack from the commentators!).

He isn't someone they are interested in.

I think if we can keep a better players, and get another in, it is a good day. There is serious interest in TC.

Yeah sorry I didnt necessarily mean Jellis himself... I meant someone like him, with his potential

If the money is right it could be best for all parties imo

Gilbert is the one, they wanted a perm deal, but couldn't get it done, but I think they will try in the summer.

My concern is that they try and get a fee for Small now

If he won’t sign a deal then why not?

I don’t think we should but ultimately it’s a business, he’s probably worth a fair chunk imeven with 6 months left.

He mentioned the other day that he'd like to stay, just depends if thats a soundbite or not

Winger/striker would be a nice next addition, would then allow DK or more likely Ahadme to go out on loan. Agree with also wanting cover for Coventry but that's going to be a tricky one.

Yeah, I really hope he does stay, you just never really know what’s going on behind the scenes.

Like you say hopefully he wasn’t just saying it.

Because we’ll get compensation and probably a sell on fee if he leaves in the summer anyway, much better to use him for 4 months
