  • Yes nice guy but switches up to bulldog mode as required!

I'm so glad to find a fellow admirer of this man's craft - like you, my eyes are on him during the walk-ons, always hoping someone in the crowd will need to be put in their place. His recent technique seems to have drifted into a general brush-off with his torso. We're overdue a forceful downward chop, there used to be 1 or 2 per walk-on - fingers crossed for tonight!
Missed the first walk on , any action ?
Ha! Been watching on catch up myself, no, he was reserved... but had his eyes on those arms like a hawk... very professional.

Is it just me or does Littler look like he is not enjoying it much as he did last year. Pressure maybe?

    Definitely.

Natural though, last year there were no expectations and anything was a bonus.

Still, only a few months and he can have a couple of beers beforehand to take the edge off!

It’s such a shame because playing with the freedom he had last year with no care in the world was so great to watch.

Now the expectation is there he is going to end up like most other players on the circuit in and out of form.  As for drink he needs to stay away from that for as long as possible I can’t imagine he will as he looks as he is going to become the typical player overweight and eating unhealthily.

I know the drink helps when playing darts but you become reliant on it, well I know I do and many others do in my league. He is so talented without it.

His scoring just hits devastating levels when he needs it. Really separates him from the players who don't have that power scoring.

Should be a great game against Asp in the quarters

Yeah will be brilliant hopefully Asp can bring his A game.

I hope Littler can dominate like Taylor did as his all round game is stupidly good and can hopefully get better.

We won't ever see dominance like that again because there is a lot of money in darts now and the level of competition is so much higher.

When Taylor won his first World championship the prize money for the entire tournament was 55k, now you get more than that if you hit a 9 darter. You could win a world title back then with an average in the mid 90s, which now probably wouldn't even get you past a quarter final.

Taylor was obviously incredible and would still win tournaments in this era but he wouldn't win anywhere near as much.

Watching the Dobey v Price game in the packed away pub in Crawley was quality. Some bloke threw a 180 in the pub as well!

Absolutely fantastic match that between MvG and Rydz. If the MvG of old is somewhere near to being back we have some electric darts coming up in the next couple of days

Rydz needed to eat his third Shredded Wheat this morning instead of putting it on his head.

This evening's session should be interesting. I'm expecting Bunting to see off Snakebite (5-2 or 5-3) and Aspinall to win a close one 5-4 against Littler.

I don’t believe that Bunting is 39 years old.

Can you settle an argument for me please? The question is, which comedian does Peter Wright look like the most. I say Andy Parsons, my son says Bill Bailey.
