How many people is that for @Jessie?

Looks delicious! Makes me hungry even though I’ve only just eaten breakfast !
It's not one dinner😆 Not New Year's Eve dinner either. Just some of the food me and my parents have had in the past year to give you an idea of what people eat at the restaurant in China. When I eat out with friends, I don't take pictures. I don't like hot pot and some other traditional Chinese food. Therefore these are just a tiny bit of example of Chinese food (with the addition of a few Western dishes there). Nice to know you like it!
so you've photoshopped a menu?, if thats ok I've done my christmas banquet, personally it looks a bit like cheating to me.

Hi, I said right above my post of pictures in response to Baldybonce that New Year's Eve is not around yet so obviously I don't have a picture to share but I do have some which have been taken in the past year to show you what we eat. So I shared, thinking that maybe some people would be interested in Chinese food after seeing my pics. That's all. I'm not in the "rate my plate" competition😅 And those are not home made dinners. Wonderful picture you just shared right there, BTW😉

I've been trying to recreate your plate for a week, without success.

Can I ask you, from what exact height did you drop the turkey from to get that effect?
Also. Did you eat it all with just the spoon supplied, or did knives and forks arrive later?
  • Well, we ballsed up the turkey but we nailed the New Years Day lamb. Gorgeous.

Terrific that you've snuggled everything up together on half the plate.
Is it a 'keeping everything warm penguin style' trick?

It wasnt dropped. Edward Scissorhands was round for the day and decided to help with the carving.

You and I have a much different definition of nailed it..  what is that dry stringy carcass in the middle of the table? Is that the lamb?  Glad that you are a fan of slimy Brussel sprouts as well.

That's no way to refer to the other half!

LOL! Thanks @ValleyGary IIRC you run a catering business? If so, that's a pretty nice compliment from the professional!😀
  • New Years Day a rolled sirloin of beef

Very nice. If I was to be picky I would say the larger potato should have been cut in half, i assume gravy and condiments are arriving after the photo and it you appear to have rolled the beef in a blast furnace prior to cooking accounting for the very well done outer and more medium done centre.

Overall though one of the most appetising plates of food displayed 😀

The soup starter on a flat plate must have been messy.
