Running scared of Josh Tongue4
-
I cringe when I see England playing football before a game albeit that they just look like they're doing "keepy uppies". In fact, I cringe whenever a team does it and know of a couple of pro cricketers in recent years who have missed the whole of the season as a result of doing so. Their respective employers have not shared that information but described it as "an injury in training".3

Australia have won the toss and it's not a surprise, given the pitch report which suggests that there will be a feast of runs, that they have elected to bat.0

Khawaja in for Smith and will bat at 40
-
Gonna make the hammering even more depressing 😂Addick Addict said:Khawaja in for Smith and will bat at 45 -
Anyone doing an all-nighter?0
-
I was planning to, but now we've lost the toss I'm not sure I want to stay up all night watching the Aussies hit the ball to all parts & our fielders shepherding the ball to the boundary.Shag said:Anyone doing an all-nighter?0 -
Nope. Had this been a closer series I might have done but will sign off at lunch, try to get three of four hours kip and then catch up later particularly as the wife says I'm always grumpy when I stay up. But then she thinks that of me anyway so why change the habit of a marriage!!!Shag said:Anyone doing an all-nighter?3 -
Am I mad for thinking that batting second will mean a better batting performance? Having a target in front of their faces…
Yeah I’m probably insane3 -
Depends how many the Aussies get in the first innings, what pressure that puts on us and whether it turns on the 4th/5th day because, of course, we will be batting last against Lyon if that is the case.Callumcafc said:Am I mad for thinking that batting second will mean a better batting performance? it will take at least an hour for me to get fully depressed tonight, that’s a marked improvement of the 5 mins it’s taken in the previous 2 tests. I’m taking the wins where I can!Callumcafc said:Am I mad for thinking that batting second will mean a better batting performance? Having a target in front of their faces…

Has Rob Hatch flown over to Aus? Certainly talking as if he’s there0
-
Come on England, please, please win and make the rest of the series slightly interesting.0

Promising start from Carse, good shape into the left handers1
-
His line is excellent whereas Archer is struggling to land any two balls in the same place.Pelling1993 said:Promising start from Carse, good shape into the left handers0 -
But his length is wrong.Addick Addict said:

Need to sort out the no balls. A wicket off one would be very careless1

Gives me nightmares of the Tom Curran one off Warnerkinveachyaddick said:Need to sort out the no balls. A wicket off one would be very careless1 -
Aussies and Michael Vaughan laying into our bowling already1
-
Ah Carse bowling utter garbage again. Was a fun two overs prior.0

Rubbish from Carse. Tongue should be bowling.0

My pet hate. And you just know that it's going to happen to us.kinveachyaddick said:Need to sort out the no balls. A wicket off one would be very careless1 -
This does look a belter of a track but then it really wouldn't matter what state it was in given what we've served up to date.0
-
This is what happens when you gas up an average county player like he's a generational talent. New Zealand letting him be man of the series against them is all-time shameful stuff0
-
What the hell has Carse been doing in practice, to bowl this rubbish? And get in ahead of Atkinson and Potts?0

Hit top of off...
Hit top of off...
Hit top of off...
Oh short and wide again...

Had to look up the ILT20!Addick Addict said:England international Phil Salt has just opened the batting in the ILT20 for the Abu Dhabi Knight Riders with Michael Pepper. What a couple of condiments they are.
Sadly Salt was out first ball.0 -
Short ball works for Archer. Weatherald hooks in the air and Smith gloves it
33-10 -
Short ball from Weatherald and he gloves it to Smith.
33-10 -
One more, and we're at Khawaja with his bad back rather than Smith - come on!2
