India relying on Siraj to lead their attack is rather funny.
He's a famously level-headed cricketer, I am sure he will take it in his stride!

Got to be so tempting for Duckett to chirp at him every ball

Woakes gets his reward, he's bowled well so far

Woakes has been excellent. Rahul was really struggling, whether to leave or play outside his off stump

An ashes bowling battery of Atkinson, archer, tongue and wood would really send the shitters up the Aussies. Just got to make sure they’re all fit!
Atkinson and Tongue really aren't that good and they're definitely not going to scare the Aussies
Going by how many wickets Atkinson has taken in his short Test career I would dispute that.
Tongue has good pace and bowls well at the tail.
    Both will be just fine.

Excellent work by Butcher there, a wicket falling straight after he played down England's chances of taking 10 wickets  ;)

    98-2 at lunch

25 overs in the session is pretty awful.

Really think you should only get punished for over rates if the game ends in a draw.

53 overs after 2 sessions. A "steady" sort of day, even The Hollies is a bit quiet.

Thankfully the alcohol has started to kick in, as The Hollies has been a lot louder since tea. Pant holing out helps too.

Pathetic over rate today, much caused by Gill's various delays.

The 17-year-old younger brother of James Rew, Thomas, is the current wicket keeper and captain of the England U19s in their 50 over series against India. In yesterday's game he hit 76* off 44 balls and in the previous match it was 131 off 89.

He got 107* in the Zimbabwe warm up game for the FCC XI too. Looks a gun like his brother.

Got family friends that are Somerset diehards that think Thomas is an even better prospect than James.

Jadeja having a drink brought on 16 mins into the day's play is ridiculous

To be fair the Indians aren't used to sunshine and temperatures in the mid 20s

Been listening to TMS while in the office, doesn’t sound like anyone’s finding it particularly riveting

After what happened in the last Test it's hard to criticise putting India in to bat.
But looking at this pitch and perfect batting conditions it does look a poor decision.
