A L1 outgoing, but Carlisle have signed Elliot Embleton from Blackpool. Should be an excellent player at that level, but a 3.5 year contract is a surprising commitment for a L2 side, especially one at risk of relegation to the NL.

I guess the positive approach is that you've had half a season with a better player in your side, which is better than nothing.

Stockport might still be a L2 side without Louis Barry last season, and might be near the bottom of L1 this season is he hadn't returned for 6 months.

Taylor has already played for West Brom this season so can’t be loaned out to another club

Of course but it isn't impossible that form drops off for the second half of the season. They will probably still get play offs but we know better than anyone that your form coming into the play offs is key

Cam Bragg recalled from Crawley by Southampton as well. Looks like he hasn't played that much for them but it's getting pretty crazy how many players aren't seeing out their full loans at this level. Managers aren't really able to assess what they have and play the players they want if they also want to keep the loan player as part of the squad. So you have to play them regularly or they'll be recalled, but you don't want them to play too well while they're playing or they'll be recalled anyway, just for a different reason. The best you can currently hope for with a young PL loan is that the player does just well enough that he plays every week but not so well that his parent club thinks he might make a decent Championship player. So a bang average L1 player if you want a full season out of them. Nathan Jones already wasn't a big fan of loans as it is but I doubt looking at this window is going to change much in his mind.

Are you sure? Gallagher was recalled from us and loaned to Swansea.

I think it only applies if he played for parent club before loan.

Are you sure? Gallagher was recalled from us and loaned to Swansea.

So Gallagher played for us then Swansea, two clubs. Taylor has played for WBA then Wycombe, two clubs. You can’t play for three in a season.

Wigan have signed Forward Joe Hungbo on a permanent deal from Nurnberg. He had been on loan at Rotherham scoring 0 goals in 18 appearances.

He has hardly played at Wigan. I'm not sure if this is due to an injury of lack of quality or both.

I wouldn't take a gamble on him. I've already named two more suited RBs.

He played a cameo when we beat them at the Valley back in August.
