I was expecting more exits from L1 to higher clubs, but it seems that L1 clubs in contention for promotion (other than stricken Reading) been able to keep hold of their better players.0

Think Wycombe have had a superb window.
I now believe they will make the top two due to excellent squad depth. Previously I thought that they would fade away.5 -

If anything you'd question whether they did too much business. It's hard to integrate so many players mid season.1 -

I was only expecting two additions at Charlton and they both seem to have experience at a higher level so hopefully not a bad window.
Wycombes window particularly holding on to Kone should be enough to get them second place behind Birmingham.
Slightly off topic down in League 2 The Gills had a new owner who promised great things. He received praise from some posters on here4 managers later they are looking over their shoulder to make sure they stay in the football league . The grass is not always greener.3 -
I think Wycombe and Orient have done great business this window.
I think if we had signed a good attacking/wide/quick player in on a permanent I would say our business was good but instead I think we’re short.5 -

Analysis of the window:
Percentage of signings where a fee has been paid or are 'undsiclosed' is relatively similar. The main change is that Loan signings signicantly increase, taking away from free transfers.

Unsurprisingly no team signed more players in January than they did in the summer. However 2 teams did match their summer totals - Reading (1), and Wycombe (10)

Burton still remain as the busiest side of 24/25 overall:

It's concerning that a fair few of the teams around us did some really decent business.
I don't expect us to be near Wycombe but they've really had a go as well.
Didn't realise Bodin went to Reading, always a decent player in this league.
Thank you for the updates @DyerConsequences 👍🏻2 -
Comparing signings from the Premier League, Championship and League One by League One sides - in the summer there was a pretty even split. However, in January signings are much more likely to come from the Championship.

And finally, the flow of the windows signings:

Not L1, but Harry McKirdy has been released by Hibernian and joined Bromley. One brilliant season for Swindon under Ben Garner, and nothing else in his career.0

Their defence is pretty solid but they don't really score enough goals (13 less than Wycombe). Adding those two solves that issue.
