Wycombe bring Caleb Taylor back on loan from West Brom
Big bonus for them. A bit weird for WBA to recall him then send him back there after 2 weeks.
Probably Mowbray wanting a look at him, but yes odd to send him back afterwards.
I had assumed they'd send him somewhere else or sell him.
Played the first round of the EFL cup for West Brom so could only go back to Wycombe.
We did the same thing back in the day when Jon Fortune briefly returned from a spell at Stoke to play in one match. With the rules about only being able to play for two sides Wycombe is the only other club he can play for this season
Wycombe have improved their CB options this window and bolstered their squad. I now feel they will be competitive in the last months of the season.
Sad what’s probably going to happen to reading between now and the deadline but this could be the start of their downfall which is good for our play off hopes
Two Million. Isn't much when you consider his age, the fact he's one of the best strikers in the league and it's January. He'd easily start for us and be a great option.
You'd like to think that's the kind of fee we could be spending. If Wrexham can, why can't we.
See one of the comments says this would leave Reading with 5 players whose contracts run beyond the summer. They will be in a huge mess if the takeover does not go through in the next few months.

It isn’t I agree, but it’s clearly well beyond what this ownership want to spend on a single player, at least in this division.
If we eventually sell a player or two for a big fee it would be interesting to see if that changes our approach.
I think it would need to. I didn't think there would be a day where I am jealous of a player Wrexham are potentially signing. Blimey.
I think their hand is being forced a bit mate. The points return over the last 5 games hasn’t been good and reading the comments after the defeat at home to Stevenage the locals are getting restless 😬 a lot saying Parky has reached his level.
although it’s typical that Stevenage seem to be hitting good form before we play them 😂

Not sure about that, I imagine if you flipped our results, we still wouldn't have made a signing yet, and they'd still probably be signing Sam Smith.
A few results shouldn't decide if you are spending 2 million or not imo.

Probably the glory hunting bandwagon fans who seem to have forgotten this is a club who just spent 15 years in non league and haven't played above league one in over 40 years.
Comments
Aasgaard to Luton confirmed.
Ali Maxwell raving about Kone. It'll be interesting if they can keep hold of him, as with him automatic promotion is a very realistic target.

He was the stand out player along with Knibbs.
