I think we’ll finish fifth. Would have bitten your hand off for that possibility in November.5

If we did get them, I could see us beating them comfortably at home and keeping it tight at their place.
Usually a home game for the second leg is a massive advantage, but I think a Nathan Jones siege type scenario away suits us.

Time will tell, but I'm quite confident whoever we get we are beating. The only team I'd be worried about away is Reading as our arsehole falls out there.
Not that any of this matters as we will be taking 2nd on the final day.5 -
TC got a dead leg which I think was intentional and was completely missed by the ref. He would have certainly missed a midweek game and might be 50/50 for Friday but I would expect he will be 100% for Wycombe due to the fact he was able to resume play in the second half even though he did have to go off. I'm saying that it shouldn't be a long term issue and he and Jones are going to have had a rest.

Does anyone know when the playoff final kick off time will be confirmed? I appreciate this is massively tempting fate, but I now have the faith I was lacking when I agreed to a holiday that clashes with a certain important day in the league 1 calendar...0

The only one I'd want if we are going starting XI Vs. Starting XI would be Corey Addai, and even then I don't think he would make too much of a difference on Mannion.
To a man we are better than them. I can't say the same about Wycombe, Wrexham, Reading or even Bolton.
How well they function as a team is an entirely different conversation.0 -

I'm not how you can categorically state we have better players than Stockport, they are ahead of us in the table and i assume you haven't seen much of them other than the two draws against them this season.2

How well they function as a team is an entirely different conversation. We're currently playing better and are a lot stronger (mentally and physically) than that early Bowyer side.I went in to those play off semi games with Shrewsbury convinced we weren't going to make the final, as it just didn't feel right, whereas this time I'm confident we will make it to Wembley.4 -

Sunday May 25th is also the final day of the premier league season, so the playoff final might be earlier ko time for TV coverage reasons, due to Premier League games kicking off at 4pm.4 -

I had the pleasure of attending Stockport vs Rotherham on the weekend with a Rotherham supporting pal. They were pretty poor for the first half hour, but once they got their first looked completely in control. From that performance however, I don't necessarily think that a) they are immune to slipping up before the end of the season and b) beating a team with our attacking threat, particularly down the flanks, over two legs. They looked competent but not extraordinary, and lets face it the playoffs are a bit of a lottery.
I will say that their atmosphere was superb which will undoubtedly give them a boost.4 -

They're ahead of us by 1 point, and we went through a phase of winning like 4 games in 14? I think it says more about us than them.
The argument of not seen them enough always falls short for me. I doubt many of us have watched many of the footballing greats other than highlights, but you'd still say they're better than ex player. This is also an opinion based on information. I'm not saying it with 100% certainty. My view on everything I've seen, heard and watched.
I've watched plenty of Stockport highlights, and I've seen us play them twice. Fairly confident in saying we have better players. They are just more conditioned as a team with a manager who has been there longer and have a lot of momentum.
Our fullbacks are better, our forwards are better, our centre backs (particularly one) is better. They don't have a player as talented as TC.
They could of course beat us, as they're a good footballing side, but talent wise we have them trumped.3 - Sponsored links:

It would take an amazing drop in form for us not to reach the playoffs; however, I believe the 2019 squad (individually) was stronger than the present one. I'll get me tin helmet!7

You'd assume Wembley haven't made up the 1pm time for shits and giggles, and there are other upcoming games listed there with the time as TBC.5 -

Is it really 1pm? That would rather scupper my play off final tradition of a pre-match curry lunch in Wembley.0

I bloody hope so I booked a hotel in Wembley today for the playoff final0
