Lots of attacking intent there. Hopefully we get off to a fast start and get an early goal or two.
Goals will come tonight for us.

I'm sure of it (that'll bite me on the arse), need to avoid being so open at the back for Crawley to exploit us again.

    He’s been awful .
I'd prefer Dixon to Hylton though. I know what I'd hate most as a tiring defender on 80 mins......and its not some aging has been trying to shithouse his way around the pitch.

Why... When plenty of those who watch the U21s say he's clearly not ready

We've also got Kanu who is probably the best Striker we've got at the club who can press the opposition into mistakes

Berry has been poor for a while. I'm glad we've swapped him for Gilbert... Otherwise, what's the point of having competition.

And good on NJ for being unafraid of changes.

What if you’re 1-0 down and you can’t get the ball back because the shithouse has kicked the match ball, and every ball boy’s ball, over the roof of the away end?

    What then?

Admit to being quite excited to see Gilbert from the start I hope the lad puts in a performance and stakes his claim to the spot

Think that's harsh but as I said in the preview, I think this is a game where we can afford to be more adventurous, so the right decision for me.

Wondered if we might see Gilbert start tonight - we should be looking to dominate possession a bit more than we would have been anticipating to do in our last 3 games so hopefully there will be more opportunities for him to get on the ball and pull some strings tonight. Godden's intelligent movement might have worked better with Gilbert's guile, but at the same time Gilbert is less physical than most of our players so having Leaburn up there to hopefully occupy their centre backs won't hurt either, and Leaburn is not exactly a cart horse himself.

Anderson has been decent whenever called upon through this good run we've been having so not too worried about Doc sitting one out - Karoy will at the very least match Doc for running.

I assume Aneke is missing with his broken noggin' from Saturday. I have some secondhand embarrassment for Ahadme falling behind Hylton in the pecking order.

All Crawleys' home games have been tight this year. We may need some shithousing at the end of the game.

Personally not in agreement with players missing games after a kid has been born. Different if they are still in labour but once born just man up and play.

Presumably he’s not slept or trained properly over the past 24/48 hrs so makes a lot of sense

Yeah... Fair enough. Maybe 'average' for a while would be more accurate than 'poor.'

COYR!! Let’s get into 4th place..
  • No Watson on the bench is interesting. Instead we have 3 strikers plus Berry, so potentially lots of attacking options if we need to chase the game
It’s an opportunity match to set down a statement win that rocks the boat for those above and below us. Clearly we’d all be happy with just getting the 3 points but do so convincingly would deflate the other teams just that little bit extra; and at this stage of the season every little bit helps.

I remember when Trevor Francis insisted that one of his QPR players travelled to an away game and the player missed the birth. Dinosaur.

Remember, if we win 1-0, and Bolton win 11-0, we stay 5th

I know there’s no divine right to win but we really shouldn’t be in the same league as Crawley.
Would be nice to see us really impose ourselves and batter one of these teams tonight, hopefully in our final season at this level 😉

Much changed squads tonight from the previous game; didnt realise that Junior Quitirna (another Charlton Academy youngster) was at Crawley now.

Red = Started at the Valley
Blue = Subbed on at the Valley

Louis Watson only on the bench for Crawley, it'll be interesting to compare him with Gilbert. Both are cultured midfielders, with excellent set piece delivery, but allegedly a bit lightweight in the tackle

Another one I forgot was at Crawley... When people talked about Watson being there, I wondered who on earth people were talking about

That Crawley Formation looks like they will be trying not to lose rather than win...

Looks like they're giving us directions towards their goal.
