DOUCHER said:Apparently there is an EFL only fantasy football league and Gillesphey is the highest point scorer in it - can't rule the master technician out of some goal involvement0

cafcnick1992 said:Feels like a huge banana skin this one and the sort of game we'd lose 2-0 with a poor performance.
I don't know much about Kyprianou - is he a good player at this level?0 -
Major said:DOUCHER said:Hope Edwards is back but if not i'd go with the team FA has lined up - Watson doesn't impress me at all and should be used sparingly 'to do a job' if no other options
All in the eyes of the beholder, of course!0 -
Sounds like Edwards is available from NJ’s pre match presser7

Super preview F A. Really looking forward to this one. A draw looks to me the most likely outcome.
As said we are in good form as are they who've hit form after a very bumpy patch.
Pity that Edwards is out. I'd push Small back to L/back and start Anderson in midfield as this promises to be a very 'physical' game.
I agree with the 2 up front. Hoping for a win (of course) but suspect a 1-1,2-2, somewhere round that.
My talent spotting mate and I agree, Malik Mothersille is a proper player and we should be trying to sign him next window whatever league we are in. He will be a danger come Saturday.1 -
NJ: there is a real positivity that Edwards will be available for Saturday against Posh6

Ali made us his best bet of the day on the NTT20 podcast.
Thinks posh struggle against physical teams and, whilst have improved in recent weeks, won't be good enough to stop us.
I hope he is right!4 -
Tough one this. Can see this going either way. No idea of a prediction0
-
Looking forward to this one. Don't care how we play or how we win. Just win and then onto the next one. Great if Josh is back. UTA.0

Worth noting that we are not missing a single first team squad player for this game (in the end).1

I thought they looked dangerous on the attack at our place. 1-1.0
-
Big away following = shite performance and 2-0 defeat
really hope I'm wrong1 -

For those that haven’t heard/seen. You have to come up with the best replacement name for Thierry Small with:
First Name: an Arsenal forward from the early 2000s
Surname: any adjective for size
e.g Jérémie Gargantuan7 -
2-3 Leaburn with a late week winner1

To me this stinks of a draw at best.
We are expected to win, big away following and our record vs them in recent history is woeful.
We probably need a win to keep momentum but I think a draw is more realistic and I'd probably take it as I think we have easier games ahead.
The state of our form against these lot, 8 losses in our last 13!

What has been noticeable in our recent run of form is that we have deserved the win in all of our games bar Birmingham and Stockport away going all the way back to Rotherham away. Even if the final result is close we have been the better side. So that is telling me that we are able to maximise the fact that we are the better side in games so that is the crux of tomorrow's game. We also have to note that where we are not the better side, it is ususally away from the Valley even if it isn't common.
Peterborough need to take the game by the scruff of the neck from the beginning and the question is can they? I'm not so sure they can. Certainly not if we are on it and hopefully we utilised the free week to boost the levels which ultimately can dip when it is Saturday, Tuesday, Saturday, Tuesday.2 -

For the first time in years, I am impatient for the next game as soon as the last game finishes. There is a real air of excitement (in my head at least) and it may all go "Pete Tong", but there is a real sense that we could achieve something.13

Get into them, ***k them up and win.
It is the business end of the season, finish with a bang not a whimper.
One game at a time, eleven verses eleven, go for it.4 -
Forget the recent record against them - for most of that time we've been poo and even under Lord Bowyer we struggled because Posh were managed by Lardarse Evans.
This is a completely different Charlton team with a winning mentality.
Three Nipple Town 0 Charlton Athletic 2 (Jones, Godden)
Onwards and upwards.6 -

It's always a pleasure to finish with a bang not a whimper🙄
11 V 11 at KO but 16 v 16 can impact the match over the 100 odd minutes of games in the modern era.
Fergie time is mandatory with Football in the 2020's and as CAFC and Wycombe have shown whether you score a brace in the 1st few minutes or goals in added time at the business end of a match they all count.
The obvious advantage late on is there is less time for the opposition to strike back but more nerve racking !
Guaranteed Fergie time tomorrow with Boomerang Darren in his 4th return at the Posh.
Despite what one poster stated. We are 5 points behind Wrexham and Wycombe and if chickens are being counted before their hatched then just asked CL's hen ladies; that is a bad idea and completely counter-intutative. There's a reason why Nathan's mantra is "take one game at a time"
Let's win so Nathan and the Players continue to believe in this miraculous turn around of our season.
