For the sake of those who don't have Twitter/X, sometimes it would be helpful for original posters to mention who the person they are posting here is. Too many times, a discussion starts and then it turns it's a bloke bored in there bedroom with less than 250 followers.
Appreciate those who call out that it's a fake rumour etc.
Those who still believe our owners are tight will continue to make their views known until convinced otherwise. Similar posts were made last summer though, and the end result wasn't so bad was it? We went up, and arguably the biggest sum laid out was for a player who failed to impress. A similar thing happened at Rotherham when JCH reportedly threw us over for bigger pay, but eventually got dropped there. Not money well spent for them.
So spending the cash must be balanced with bringing in the right character and fit, just as important as making a 'look at my wad' signing as a so called statement of intent.
That said, I'd be nice to get someone in soon to ease a few nerves, but I know these negotiations often get drawn out, which is frustrating for all
The apology to Richard Nixon should be as loud as the disrespect to him on here. The big man’s on the money yet again!
said it before (and I'll opine it once more) bid £3 Million as a final offer, then try to discuss personal terms. If we bid cheapskate, we'll get cheapskate players .. of course it would be good to know if the owners are intending to invest in players for the future, or to use the L1 cash reward to repay themselves for their past outlays
Coventry free, Ramsey minimal fee, Jones free. Awful players.
3m is a piss take for a player that isn’t tested above league 1 I’m afraid. We’ve spent how much on Ahadame, and he’s the weakest link in the squad. id be saving the cash for the more expensive end of the field. We are going to need a quality striker or two.
To be expected if they’re worth having. Hopefully we’ll have enough quiet business going on and be an attractive place to come and live and play to compete. Money may be a bit tighter than others, but I’m sure we’ll be ok. I suspect that the most difficult transfers to be early in the window and as things settle down deals may be available for targets that are left.
Hard to believe that it’s just Charlton and Hudds in the hunt. Sheff Utd have been mentioned but are not likely to be spending until their manger situation is resolved. I think this one will get away I’m afraid.
Classic agent planting some BS to hurry up CAFC to sweeten the offer and get his commission sorted out early. As if any cognisant biped would choose the cold drizzly unflushed latrine that is Preston over the balmy metropolitan delights* of SE7
*that's chips and grannies to the syllably challenged
If Offiah does end up at Preston, I do hope he uses the opportunity to take a trip to the national railway museum at York and make a day of it. Too good an opportunity to pass up when it will be on his doorstep

Will only take any notice of anything at the Huddersfield end when the Yorkshire Post start mentioning it.
