If Offiah does end up at Preston, I do hope he uses the opportunity to take a trip to the national railway museum at York and make a day of it. Too good an opportunity to pass up when it will be on his doorstep
Well it’s 100 miles by road and 2.5 hours by train so it’s a big old doorstep.
Still makes me laugh every time. Viewfinder vs Harvey’s gardener is hilarious too - accusing him of living near The Valley but knowing nothing about football and imagining he’s the father of Callum Harriott and Joe Pigott.

The guy who posted and said he must've been on ketamine probably wasn't far wrong.
You never know, but it might be that Joe Gomez moves on, sold I mean, and we get a bit more headroom because of that. If players choose to go to other clubs so be it, I don't especially see it as 'missing out', more like 'so that happened'. I don't fancy a ballast of indifferent loans to look like we're compensating for 'missing out'.
I've just read we are preparing a £2.5m bid plus Ahadme for Ethan Galbraith!
Joking aside it might not be a bad idea to try and offer players.
I get they would probably prefer the money, but offer something like 1.7m plus Ahadme and Terry Taylor. They've signed enough of our cast offs before so it might work.

Be great to think that any windfall we get would be at least in part used to bolster the transfer kitty but in reality the club needs to be sustainable and base its budget on what we can actually afford. Might ease the ties on the purse strings but I doubt by much if any.

Wellens will not be impressed by that I would think.
If Gomez moves on it's a shame for him, but I also feel he wasted his best years being a bit part player at Liverpool, would have way more England caps now I feel if he played elsewhere. Look at Konsa, was fit, playing well and in a decent Villa team and worked his way into the national squad.
I hope there's a mini bidding war for him and we get a nice pay packet out of it (35m would fetch us a minimum of 7m from what I gather, the sell on was quoted by Cawley a couple of years ago as 'at least 20%')
Graham Eastwood Eastwood Exclusive #htafc are on the verge of signing Northern Irish international Ethan Galbraith from #lofc package unknown right now but the player has turned down #cafc. Understand Huddersfield offered a much bigger wage packet.
Just read this on the Leyton Orient forum. Seems they can offer a bigger package than us.
PNE have already brought in Small and Pol Valentin as RB options and have decent CB depth so would be surprised if Offiah is a genuine target for them.

£1,490,000 cash plus Ahadme?
