Apart from forums, I haven’t seen us linked with Kelman..

I am not sure he is a championship player. From what I have seen, he is slow, touch not that great, not very good in the air. Looks an okay finisher.. I am sure someone going to send some stats on him.
He’d be a Godden alternative rather than someone to add pace and power. Not watched him closely but I doubt he’s slower than Godden?

Seems that QPR fan on X is known to be reliable and RC hasn’t denied it, so I could see it happening. QPR are rumoured to be signing another striker so it may be a case of Kelman only being allowed to leave after that deal is done.
He’s not a Godden alternative though. Kelman’s game is all about running the channels, he doesn’t get involved like Godden does in winning duels and is less involved in build up play. He’s definitely not slow though, as his game is all about running in behind

If we signed Kelman I would want him up front with a Godden or Leaburn. If we look at our striking roles last season I think Kelman fits the TC role more than the Godden role based on how he plays

Rumours Kelman had a walk around the club this week.
    Rumours where?
  • Has the Keillor‑Dunn rumour been put to bed then?

I for one would welcome the Basildon badger as a good alternative to the sniffer dog.
    BasVegas is vile…

    Getting his 7,000* steps in.....

    * New report says 7,000 steps a day is now the go-to target.

I was meaning as the main goalscoring threat up front, I haven’t watched him closely to say who’d he’d be best alongside.

Be prepared to be disappointed then as I am hearing the deal is almost done.
Almost done or about to be announced soon ?

  • Maybe our secret weapon is Ahadme re-shaped by Danny Hylton.
  • Quite amusing that we've been linked with Galbraith, Kelman and Donley from that Orient team, with Wellens saying that Ethan wasn't interested in joining us because of the way we played.

I'm hearing it's at the medical stage.
If true I would expect it to be announced on Monday.
Thanks for sharing Blackpool - We've certainly dipped into the market in a way I certainly didn't expect, and if Kelman is joining, well a couple of weeks ago I'd have laughed at the prospect of him coming here.

Should the worst happen, and we get relegated, and don't get gutted with outgoings, you'd like to think that we're equally building a team that would immediately be able to compete well in League One again next season. I'm getting less and less concerned about that prospect though.

I would expect that to put Donley off as well. Him and Galbraith are players that are best with the ball at their feet, which will happen a lot more if they play for other championship teams than will with us, and both are good enough to get that interest

Kelman is fine, he runs in behind, runs channels and presses. Will be fine fitting in with how we play

Berry wasn't exactly bypassed per se last season though, it was more he drifted in and out of games, and would consider Donley a big upgrade on him. In terms of Kelman, I wouldn't be surprised if its the prospect to learn from Godden that has attracted him to join us, seeing he's already name dropped Matty as someone he's already started learning from.

Kelman has also spoken for his admiration for Godden and getting to learn from him first hand could be a draw too
