I think Kelman would be a great signing - hope we are in for him (PS - I've been wrong about strikers many, many times with regards to Charlton so please ignore me if you can - eg, I really wanted Freddie Eastwood back in the day)
Be prepared to quote this right in my face if we sign him and he proves to be a dud but I for one would love him to sign tbh. Think he'd be superb.
I’m pretty sure during the playoffs, Kelman was interviewed by Sky and he said he’d learned a lot off of Godden either this season or in recent years.
It may suggest they are mates and he could have convinced him to sign or that he looks at Godden as a similar striker to himself and bases his own game on his. Either way, both positive possibilities IMO.
One good season doesn’t get me going too much, but as mentioned by others, he is only 23, still developing and coming off the back of last season should be full of confidence.
Rather a signing like this than a 32+ forward on a downward trajectory earning higher wages.
If Kelman had never played in the championship and had the season he had last year, I would be excited. My only pause is that he has played number of times in the championship and was ineffective. Now maybe it was a little too soon in the past and things are just clicking now but I am still a little skeptical

Kelman has just had an outstanding season. Think of the positive experience, selfbelief and confidence that brings - he should now be twice the player, than in his early career.
But like most strikers, he needs a plentiful service. If he gets that, then the law of averages should do the rest.

This seems to be a bit of a myth, he's played 392 minutes total in the Championship, some of which came 4 years ago.
Here's his last run in the league in 2023.
He had 2 appearances playing more than an hour, both of which were out of position, every other chance he had was the odd sub appearance. Last season showed what he can do when given a run up front, he'd be an unbelievable signing for us and I hope it happens.
Also sceptical of Kelman. That offside goal in the playoff semi should never have stood, so much so he could have chalked it off himself by confessing to the ref. Add that to Tanto's awful miss in the return leg and we would have two league 1 players in our front line imposting as championship ready. Still have 0-3 to Watford vibes all over this squad at present.

What about all the goals Tanto did score ? At least he there to miss them be more concerned if he was not in the right place … Watford a good drawer , Win at Bristol City and another point v Leicester…. be an excellent start

Might I suggest asking the tattooist to stack the words:
Charlie Rob
ert Martin Lee
Kelman
Unsure if that creates a girth issue.
More like it @Braziliance...😉
The point is, they're both specialist goalscorers.
Anyway, I expect they both would be in competition for the one starting role.
