    Would much prefer Donley
Would be very decent but ultimately not our player. Just like with Orient. One season then need to replace. Unless the player is truly exceptional I’d hoped we’d moved past that.
  • Let’s see what decision made tonight .. and hopefully have a clearer picture in the morning ?
I read it as the decision is wether he’s going to be in the Reading side, as it also mentions what his mindset is now about playing, nothing to do with coming here that seems to be off now.

If people are passing on what they've been told by way of rumours, then I'd still like to hear it. If they've made it up, then I don't. Knibbs was a strong rumour as posted by those more ITK than me, so something unforseen has happened. There's no need for forum willy waving and digging out posters from other sites. We move on.
You really haven't spent much time on CL have you?
without sniping, baiting, bragging and brittle egos this forum would struggle to get a dozen posts per day :)
What do you know, do you want some then? I know more than you will ever know (but don't shout at me for saying that).

  • Rich saying we pulled the deal, no reason shared as yet.
  • What’s Penny got to do with transfers?? I’m new here so please forgive me…

Penny is the nickname of the pen that is always shown as a teaser when someone is about to sign.
  • Talking of medicals:

Alfie Spanner Doughty had a season ending Hamstring injury against Northampton on 24/10/20.playing the last of his 30 app for CAFC.

On 22/01/21 despite being totally unfit still because of the bad hamstring injury that Alfie had, he was bought by Stoke City.
He didn't play a game for Stoke until July 2022 in a pre season friendly against Hibernian.

So how could Doughty pass a medical in January when he was still crocked  and was 6 months from fitness.

As for Harvey Knibbs, it hasn't happened so we move on.
Perm any 1 reason out of 4 and you could be correct.

Normally would be knee or ankles or general heath issues.

A lot of clubs are keen on loaning him apparently.
Not sure if he’d come to us .
  • It will be interesting to see where we go from here. Do we have other options, I know donely has been mentioned but there is nothing concrete in that. Time for Chapple to earn his money!
    Andrew Moran?

Lots of good guys post on ITTV. Nothing against any of them.

Although, the post that’s just been put up is comedy gold. Not going to screenshot because it has someone’s mobile number.

Can't you post it with the phone number blocked out  :D
  • We signed Bradley Wright Phillips from Plymouth after Reading turned him down because he had a knee problem.

Wouldn't be surprised if that was now in play too. One of those where I'm not sure where he quite fits into Brighton's plans after 2 Championship loans , has played RWB for them in preseason though interestingly.

But you might get a better player than one you could afford to buy.

No way could we have bought a better midfielder than Conor Gallagher with our finances.

This window went downhill when we didn’t get the Japanese fella lol
Went downhill, bit steep, we've had a great window and it ain't finished yet, Fukuda could still be on, but waiting on his contract to end, shame about Knibbs, but come on now, we're doing a whole lot better than a lot of us expected, me included...
  • Hopefully we called it off as we have an even better option lined up instead.  I suspect though it was his medieval.  Shame, would have loved Knibbs at Charlton, we could definitely do with more goals and midfield dynamism.
  • Must say, it's all very quiet on the Rich Cawley front...🤔
I don’t think the Club want to disclose what is happening.
Which gives me hope, very quiet today,

They haven't even tried to capitalise further on the Hawaiian shirt, that's how you know something is up.

I reckon they had Knibbs all lined up in the shirt ready to go magnum style, and the issues have put a right spanner in the works.

If they need a new model for the shirt though, they should look no further

    What car?
1957 Chevy Bel Air, obviously not mine 😂

I did a Sopranos tour in New Jersey/NY and this was part of it. Fantastic car, when I am a bit better off one day I will be picking one up as a hobby car.

Sorry for the random posts, as we were
There was me thinking you made bundles from the blogging.
You think he was going to declare that with HMRC monitoring the site for wrong uns

Sorry mate it was meant in jest, of course we have had a fantastic window far beyond most people’s expectations

This is what I thought NJs loan stance was a couple of weeks ago to Rich? In effect it would have to be someone exceptional that would be better than anyone we could buy.
  • Get Donley on loan and spend the money saved from Knibbs on a quality RWB

Is it just me or has Ronnie been posting some fairly sensible comments lately?
    Very disconcerting
