  • Would be a great bit of smart business imho if this comes off. Knows CAFC, is a leader but likely with determination and patience in his system after what he had to come through.  Would be another leader around the training ground too and help our younger players’ developments. 🤞🏻🤞🏻 something in it…
  • NJ repeating in his pre match presser that we want to improve in "at least one area" before the window close. That reads to me as one signing for sure and possibly keeping tabs on others in case they suddenly become available
  • I’d be surprised if a player was leaking their own transfer as obviously as that
  • No lols please but Chuks Aneke, what happened to him and is there any chance of a return to the starting line up or subs bench??
For who? He's not at the club
  • No lols please but Chuks Aneke, what happened to him and is there any chance of a return to the starting line up or subs bench?? I know he was injured and saw him slow down but I think he is missed and what we have so far does not make up for what we miss.
Really missed by who ?? last I read he was training with Wycombe

What is it you think we’re missing? Tanto and Miles came on and scared the shit out of Watford’s defence.

Lockyer would be perfect . He would understand he’d be cover in case we get injuries and I’m sure he’d love to tie up with Jones and Charlton again . Just how fit is he though ?
  • Are people of the opinion signing a player who hasn’t played in 2 years and has collapsed on the pitch twice a good signing?

    In a coaching role yes.

But to add him to our defensive cover which already includes Burke who hasn’t played 90 mins in 2 years as well. It’s absolute lunacy.
    Totally agree that's mental.

NJ confirming to Cawley that Wingback is the main target and not CB

Says " centre halves we are fine"
There's a line in there about players we're interested in "that maybe we could do at Christmas or maybe we could do now" which surely has to be about Fukuda?

I'd missed that on my first read , I would expect that refers to Fukuda

Doesn't really tie in with what he about Burke not playing against Cambridge.

Yeah I think it would be a very strange choice, especially when the issue with Burke is fitness.

Feels like possibly making the same mistake twice.

Just can't see Lockyer ever playing again for anyone
    I'd have left it there.

When we was a guest on Sky for the Luton AFCW game (1st August) he said he should get the all clear in 4 weeks time, which is this weekend essentially

  • He's next,haha
  • Between him and Burke there’s at least one fit player. Low wages and something to prove, let’s see what happens.
