Sunderland suck at Wembley don't they? They would have been thinking "finally, we don't have to play bloody Charlton there this time" but it turns out, it's not us, it's them
They’ve won on their last two visits in fairness.
So, it turns out that Sunderland are quite good at Wembley, they just happen to have one particular bogey team 😁.
Fantastic for Sunderland to get promotion and win at Wembley.
Their fans took both defeats to us so wonderfully well, and so can only assume all other Charlton will be thinking good luck to them.
Agreed ! I can’t think of any reason why any Charlton fan would have only good wishes for them. The way their fans reacted to us at Wembley was truly outstanding. I really hope the stay up and cement a place in the premiership a club like them deserve to be there

I'll lay good money they will be in the bottom three all season and go down comfortably.

Yup you are probably right mate my point was they are a great club in terms of fans, they are not State Owned and it would be refreshing to see them survive. If not I hope their fans have a ball whilst it lasts
Genuinely pleased for Sunderland can’t speak highly enough of how they treated us both in 99 and 19 after losing their attitude was to be admired. Hope I don’t have to be as magnanimous to Orient fans tomorrow COYR

Their manager looked remarkably like Chris Coleman!

@jimmymelrose met Regis Le Bris brother and Dad on his flight from Nantes this morning.
Happy for Sunderland. A very big club that should be in the Premier league and they are good levels of dramatised entertainment. 95th minute winner this afternoon says it all.
I think maybe a good outside bet is Sunderland staying up. The odds will be pretty stretched and a potential decent return.
The 19 cup final home games might get them enough points. They have a lot of work to do in the summer. Win 8 at home, win 3 away, draw 7 home/away should be enough.
I was at Sunderland last year doing the great North run. Found a decent air bnb.
Couldn't meet a friendlier bunch of people. I had to bring up our past playoff finals. Useful bit of small talk.
Am in the west end this evening, a lot of happy Sunderland fans about
We are staying in Gerrards Cross tonight and I’m amazed by how many Sunderland fans that are here. Spoke to a few and congratulated them and every single one of them wished us luck for tomorrow. A proper club with proper supporters imo
We went down to a local pub for the second half of today's game and met a group of Sunderland fans on the next table. Great people and veterans of the two Charlton finals. I'm really delighted that they've done it. The Premier League is tedious enough with a bunch of yo-yo teams and Sheffield United have had their chances to stay there in recent years and failed to do so. It also means that the Premier League will have to shell out £40million in parachute payments, rather than £2million each being reimbursed to clubs who don't really need it. Mind you, they have already saved £56million with Burnley and Leeds achieving promotion.
Dropped into a local pub's beer festival on the way home for a few halves of stouts, porters and IPAs, although we took it easy with a big day tomorrow.
Let's hope that we can do the business tomorrow and that Jacko completes the hat-trick on Monday.

Charlton are odds on with the bookies but many pundits are tipping Orient.
Pundits had us finishing near the bottom 4 this season

It’d be a proper ballache to have to go AGAIN in this crap league but Nathan Jones is taking us up, whether it be this season or not.
