  • Game Over
  • Long way back for Sunderland now
  • What is with the shite non-descript goal music?
  • VAR check…
  • Hmm can see VAR ruling that out
  • Probably game over that. Bored of Sheffield Utd & Burnley stinking out the prem every other year.
  • Fantastic strike but it has to be chalked off.
  • Oh good. VAR in play !!
  • Ref called to the monitor, can see this being ruled out

  • I think the Sheff Utd closest to the Goalkeeper puts him off

Offside for me despite what the idiot co-commentator is saying (with his 700 games as a professional goalkeeper). Looks to be clearly in line of the keeper's vision.
  • No goal
  • Ref announcing it to the crowd is interesting lol
  • Good VAR call that
  • Correct decision... See how straightforward it is when the referee announces their decision as well - Glad we'll get that tomorrow

Listening on radio on the train, all three agree it was probably correct

Although Sam Matterface, Ian Holloway and Darren Bent aren’t exactly MENSA candidates…
  • Ref talking on loud speaker? That's a new one isn't it?

It was implemented in the League Cup Semi-Finals (Maybe the Final too), as well, not sure if it was overly needed though.
  • The lazy striker made no effort to get on side.
Stand in front of keepers for corners but that was crass.

Hopefully giving it all our way. Bosh

Not sure if I want Sheff Utd (in Red & White) to win, given their (and Leyton Orient's) torrid record at Wembley.

I'd like to think that lightning cant strike twice in that regard
  • Written in the stars that the commentators will be playing on the ‘2nd Tyreece Campbell’ to score this weekend.

Put it this way, if a Tyreece Campbell played for Orient, we would think it’s a total banker
  • Sunderland suck at Wembley don't they? They would have been thinking "finally, we don't have to play bloody Charlton there this time" but it turns out, it's not us, it's them

They’ve won on their last two visits in fairness.

And Sheffield United have never won there….

As has just been mentioned on TV, in 1925 Sheffield United won the FA cup against Cardiff and zero in 9 play off campaigns.

Sunderland is 1 in 7 playoffs but did win the FA cup in 1973 beating dirty Leeds in a major shock.
Also the EFL trophy in 2021.
  • Customary mention of the '98 Play-Off Final has been ticked off
