Think we missed Berry, he's anonymous a lot of the time, quietly and effectively goes about his business.
Definitely the most underrated player in the squad, don’t understand how people don’t rate him myself. Gilbert was decent but doesn’t get around the pitch as well as Berry does

Maybe but Gilbert is decent and had another good game.

Nathan Jones is clinically insane. Love him.
And we used to think Guy  Luzon was a nutter on the sideline!

    Willpower.
In what was a close enough game I would say the sheer willpower from the players fuelled by us in the crowd is what did it.

Teams know they have to beat us before the last quarter, as we just get stronger. Now NJ has to work out how we beat Orient. Hopefully with the same squad as today, none of whom let us down.

I bet Wycombe wished that they'd accepted that final bid of £7m on 30th January for Kone - he ended up scoring just twice in his 15 subsequent games. Will be lucky to get anywhere near that now.

hoping I can get final ticket but guessing it’s unlikely
Get one on the orient and, guessing there will be lots of spares

We made it to the playoff final but so much criticism of the way we played over the two legs. Wycombe couldn't live with us if they played us at our game so they set out to stop us playing and hope they got lucky.

The Mirror report on this game says "Wanderers will rue the fact that their last attempt on target in the tie came 22 minutes into Sunday’s initial meeting". Just think about that for a moment, Wycombe had nothing on target in this game, nothing in the 2nd half of the first leg either! Over 155 minutes and they managed nothing.

Don't forget, last season our defense was a shambles. We beat them at their game and the team and Nathan deserve a lot of credit for that.
Exactly what  Nathan said on Sky, "from 18th to the play offs'  ... 'we couldn't defend, so we put that right, and now with Matty .. .' ... and it's a team effort. Defend and attack together. Win together.  And yes, God got a mention.

But, hey, I'll settle for divine intervention and miracles.

Him screaming at a fan for throwing the ball back too quickly (I assume that was what it was?) was fantastic!

We're getting caned by the err footballing public on the BBC Comments page, Nathan in particular.

We know and he knows that we haven't won anything yet but after enduring the crap we've faced over the last six years explains our sheer bloody relief tonight that we are hopefully on our way back.
    Well done boys.

You may only need a one way ticket if she’s that unhappy.

Lloyd Jones may be the most influential player we’ve had since Yann.

Less obvious, but so so important to this side. Legend.
I've genuinely never seen a centre back this dominant at this level
He's playing below his level by some margin. Immense player for us.

The coverage didn’t show what was happening as the ref blew the whistle.

I’m a completist and feel robbed. What happened?

    Defense are another level.

They will carry us into the Championship. Just have to hope fate gives us a chance to win it like today.

Bloody brilliant! Had to celebrate with a very gentle fist pump as my newborn is asleep on my chest
Haha - same.  I didn’t know what to do

As for the game, we definitely weren’t at our best.  Too on edge, couldn’t find a rhythm and had Ramsey not made those blocks, I think we would’ve been out.

Great for all the fans and with the run the team have been on, we deserve the day at Wembley.

fingers crossed we have a bit more urgency and fluency Sunday week
Had they not blocked a couple of our shots in the second half we would’ve won two nil. 🙂

I think I’d have to blame Dodds for much of that as well, he turned them into a toothless negative team.

It was always going to be a scrappy match today because we’re not a ‘tika tala’ team and Wycombe played so negatively.

Well deserved and earned victory. Charlton were trying to play for more of the game (when not playing long balls forward). Wycombe trying to slow down the game and make it disjointed and scrappy. Dodds Wycombe manager, not as good as their previous manager and would not have made the play offs, if he had managed from start of the season. IMO.

Matty Godden, worked so hard & deserved his goal. Fantastic celebrations & brilliant support. Covered noisy and Jimmy Seed stand supporters helped. Not an easy game to watch but a deserved victory.  Orient game will be a much better match. Nathan Jones much better manager than Dodds. The team have found a way throughout the season, brilliant team spirit.
