Swann does it AGAIN. Through the gate, second time in his 10 ball spell.
81-5. Guptill 1 b Swann0 -
McCullum inside edge on first ball just misses short leg.
Review very next ball against Williamson. It's all going on!
Joe Root took a good catch at short leg but not out caught, there's nothing on hotspot... & hawkeye gives him out LBW!
82-6. Williamson 13 lbw Swann.
Swann 3-4 in 2 overs. His first three wickets at Headingley.0 -
NZ are shocking0
-
All out for 174.0
-
From 122-9 to 174 all out is frustrating for England though... England haven't enforced the follow on as the marker was reduced from 200 to 150 following Friday's wash out apparently. First time I've heard of that?0
-
Unbelieveable decision not to put them in again. Possibility of some rain tomorrow in Leeds & almost certainly some rain on Tuesday. We've already lost one day's play !
I'd like to think we'll win anyway, but it's still a poor decision. I suppose we were concerned that we'll get spun out by their great spin attack on Day 5 :-)0 -
Or as we've already pretty much got the series where we want it, is it to give Compton a last chance before the Ashes?0
-
Compton 7 off 34, Cook 44 off 56 :-(
55-0.0 -
surely the only reason for not enforcing the follow on was that we were going to get some quick runs. batting so slow0
-
cooks going for it to be fair, Compton though!0

Compton looks frightened. It's a dilemna whether to have Root or him opening against The Aussies.
But if he's frightened of NZ, he'll fill his pants when The Aussies start the sledging :-)0 -
useless Compton again0
-
Compton out for 7 to the part time spinner. 72-10
-
Thank God for that. He hasn't proved he's got the ability or temperament at this level. I'd bin him.
It was like putting down a wounded animal.0 -
Root to open - no brainer.0
-
Going tomorrow. Just hope the two local lads get a bat. Two hours of Trott might have me heading home sharpish though.0
-
fecking hell trott. Why bring him in, we need quick runs if it's gonna rain!!0
-

11 from 89 balls is enough to drive anyone insane.

69 balls, I made the same mistake, it was in 89 minutes!
Still shocking0 -
Why in God's name didn't England enforce the follow on....?
I just can't figure it out, particularly with rain scheduled for Tuesday.
Stooopid, utterly stooopid !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!0
