Curbs made Murray and Charlton look great , the chairman and model club
He carried us and when he went , a year earlier than his contract had him finishing Murray even turned down his offer of helping find a replacement (Curbs's choice was Mick McCarthy)
Murray said he didn't want a manager with only one year left on his contract .... Well I'm sure he's pushing hard for SCP to get out the door now or sign a new contract
At some stage Curbishley should have a stand named after him, not sure when the appropriate time would be prolly when he's a lot older and we know for sure he's not gonna be back with another club

I don't see anything wrong personally in naming stands after Managers who have achieved great things with their clubs. Although I would be against things like toilet blocks being named after Pardew or Dowie . Come to think of it, maybe I wouldn't !0

I ain't disputing that it's a common practice, just expressing my personal view that the physical ugliness of most football stands isn't much of a tribute to a well-loved hero.rikofold said:
