They breed people in captivity for Jeremy Kyle now, easier to find guests.

No wonder he joined Wolves, child maintenance must cost him bomb and secondly he probably wanted to get as far away from them as possible. I'm sure he wont find it too hard to breed in the black country though.

4 years ago I was talking to Peter Varney & suggested we should sign Rickie Lambert from Bristol R. "He's just a big lump" replied PV.

England were still really poor, not much really you can take from that.

Letting in 2 goals against a side filled with Championship players doesn't really fill me with joy...happy for Lambert though.

    It's basically a pre-season friendly, I wouldn't worry too much.

Really?? For what type of game it was I thought England were decent 2nd half.

The midfield + Baines did pretty well, but don't really trust the two cbs. Rooney up front on his own (playing midfield) doesn't really work either.

For a friendly it was alright, but if we play like that in Qualification games i'd be very worried.
  • Decent game and atmosphere.

You have to remember we've lost 2 competitive games in about 5 years. Narrow 1-0 away in Ukraine in 09 and Germany in WC 10 with that farcical Lampard goal that could have changed things. When it matters we can put a shift in.

    Good match, I enjoyed that.
Scotland played very well; you'd never guess that they were a third world outfit.
England started slow but got better.
Strachan is looking more and more like Jimmy Saville as he gets older.
I'm almost as surprised that Joe Hart is England's goalkeeper as I am that someone thinks his hair is good enough to be in a shampoo advert.
Is it time that Gerard was dropped?
Goal of the match: Kenny Miller. Man of the match: Danny Wellbeck. Man of the moment: Ricky Lambert - so pleased for him.

Good finish but I thought there was more than a hint of handball as he controlled the ball

And that Ukraine game was effectively a friendly for us as we'd already qualified.
