This sounds like an encouraging signing to me. He is 22, he can score goals and Peeters has worked with him before so he must have made the decision to move for him. Also shows we are willing to spend if the right player comes along. Feeling positive about this.0

If we get to Christmas and nowhere near the bottom three then the point is proved:
CAFC average age 22 losing £3m a year...AFC Bournemouth average age 28 losing £15m... Which club has a future?!
When one looks at the sheer quality and value of the top 8 clubs...squads with the top 20 players worth £20m + then you realise how far Bournemouth, Wednesday, Ipswich etc have to go to get there.
Bournemouth looked good for the last six months but are about to be excluded from registering players in 6 months time, unless they start selling players to balance the books. If they don't get promoted they are on a slippery slope as are several other clubs. Whereas we have lowered our costs and losses.
And we are increasing the average value of the players in our squad in two ways: by letting 10 go and by banking on the increasing value of Fox, Lennon, Cousins, Harriott etc. Long term deals for u23s who are good enough means that in 2015 we will be in a good place.
As long as we stay up and play better football on a better pitch with one of the best academies in the division then we have a winning strategy because we play more and more academy players and the FFP limits keep reducing. Many clubs are losing £8-10m.
All those mid table clubs will have to cut their cloth while in a years time, we will have a squad average age aged 23 many with 100 games under their belts.
I believe this works as long as the management and owner raise their game on permanent AND loan signings to help the youth. Today's news suggests that perhaps they are raising their game?
I have backed them to do this because the alternative is to piss around at the bottom of the table and get relegated!
But none of us can really make a call until we see who signs and watch a few games and the first 18 in action. And that's why I look forward to the fixtures tomorrow and a handful of new signings to help ensure we have a decent start.0 -

It already happened this season just thankfully the majority of the clubs had been sticking to the rules so the change requests were thrown out...
Rule change proposals were indeed rejected or at least failed to achieve 75% support required. Perhaps the rules will be amended as loss limits shrink but the Championship club owners currently share a loss of c.£250M - do they really want this to increase?
Back to this player: if he signs does he effectively replace Sordell? And how many more £1M players will we borrow or sign? Now the fixtures are out I really hope the club secures the right additions so that we win a few by end September.
Incidentally people talk of Reza playing up front but perhaps Harriott made a case to convert to being a forward...he beats players for fun and is clearly an instinctive player.

Superliga wages are also quite low, so hopefully personal terms will not be a problem. A friend is on the board of Brøndby and their highest paid player, and therfore the upper end of superliga salaries, was paid around GBP 10000 a week, Vetokele because of his age, a lot less.0

Hard to judge much from a selective highlights video on YouTube, but he looks like a similar type of player to BWP to me, hopefully at more of a Championship standard though!
Not much evidence of link up play in those video's but clearly he is lively in the box - we'll need to get a whole lot better at actually getting the ball in there though.0 -
It is a bit odd that we have signed a third quick/lively box striker (after Reza and Ansah) and not made any moves to actually supplying them. He's been on twitter criticising a twitter account that said he had a bad relationship with the Copenhagen manager, stale stolbaken and added that he'd have more news later. Whether that's about the incorrect report or him possibly signing I have no idea!0

really really hope this works out as it could be the signing that turns us from bottom half to top half of table. But we have been here before......Its whether he can get the better of championship defenders and take the one or two chances he will get in a game.0
