If RD is a 'skinflint' according to Viewfinder on another thread, then where does a miser fit into the scheme of things?

£2.4m is a statement, especially considering our finances. I don't quite know what to make of it. Obviously very happy we have a forward, and he must have a bit about him to cost that much. COYR let this be the start of some good activity to go with Buyens and Ansah.

Hang on. We don't know that that is the fee. It's just a rumour on twitter and as I said it seems to have crept up from £1m to £1.6m and now £2.4m

Is it true and is it upfront or based on appearances etc.

Also £550k on the pitch. SLP saying £1m on the ground as a whole which I assume is the seats, painting etc etc.

Still all good but does pose some other questions about FFP and what the strategy is. Some were claiming it was all about cutting costs, getting ready for FFP, using the kids but now we APPEAR to be spending more money than since the Pardew years.

    Bumpy ride this one.

2.4m is about right, the first figures were ball park and guesses by people not knowing. 3M Euro's I believe is the exact figure, won't say how I know but I have posted previously saying it was a fair bit more than the £1.5m or so rumoured.

And that's before we even talk about the possibility of Vetokele scoring 15 for us by Christmas before being moved to Standard Liege in January on a free transfer...

Darren Bent cost us about £2.5m, let's hope Igor is just as good.

As far as I know an all in one, Roland seems to like his money paid out in one hit rather than constant outgoings, a lot easier to keep track (I should imagine) of and probably why he's cutting down on wages around the club. Constant monthly outgoings go down in staff and players who were not in his sights' wages, despite big payments for players like this going up (a substantial amount more), they hold that value or increase in value if they perform on the pitch.

May be more to it than a payment in one go, it seems strange for our FFP but I doubt we'll see many more of these big signings. These are investments into the network, he could after all buy a player for Ujpest and loan him over to us.

AA has said several times that it was more than 1.5 and I believe he even said it was closer to 2.5 million so would say the 3m euro is correct

That's almost as much as we paid for Francis Jeffers!!!

If he's half as good as that little fox we've got a right player on our hands.

About 3 days ago, that we should have a bunch coming in over next 5 days or so. It's not just contracts these guys have to sign, it's sorting out their housing, new lifestyle . Be surprised if one isn't revealed tomorrow to be fair
