Their ground was same as Welling's 'performance', utter pony!DaveMehmet said:Maidstone thoroughly deserved their win today but I was very underwhelmed by their ground. Terrible view of the pitch for a lot of the ground and a lot of wasted space either side of the grandstand.

After nearly twenty years playing out the town any ground Is a result. Cracking crowd and decent atmosphere I thought. Was expecting more Welling. Gillingham away next please - it's been a while.0

Pretty sure that Maidstone get 10K for this win.0

Fuck me people criticising Maidstone's ground Park View Road is a shit hole and always has been.Maidstone
s crowds are blinding, can see them really pushing on over the next few years.0 -
Great crowd for Maidstone. I'm cheering them on just because they beat my favourite non league side, Biggleswade Town, ( unconvincingly) in the last round.

I can see where Daves coming from though, it wouldn't have hurt to shutter some concrete steps when the done the concrete either length of the pitch, it was difficult to view the game as the sides were totally level.northstandsteve said:Fuck me people criticising Maidstone's ground Park View Road is a shit hole and always has been.Maidstone

And as for that pitch, please don't allow them to become the norm. That pitch was as close to natural as Katy Price,s tits.0 -
Went to Dulwich v Hendon. 0-0 but a decent enough game (thought Hendon were very good at the back). Another excellent crowd 1,056. To think that this fixture just a few years ago would have attracted about 200. Yesterday there would have been a few Charlton and Crystal Palace supporters there to boost the numbers a bit but there is now a strong hardcore of Dulwich supporters who enjoy themselves to the max, win or lose.

Can anyone tell me did Brad Jordan feature for Maidstone today and how did he do ?0

Appreciate that mate but the view from a large part of the ground is terrible. I couldn't see feck all in the first half. It's a rare case of their ground being too small for them. Was talking to some fans after the game and plans are in place to increase it as and when necessary. Pleased for them and if welling had to go out to anyone, I'd rather it was them.northstandsteve said:Fuck me people criticising Maidstone's ground Park View Road is a shit hole and always has been.Maidstone

Whoever designed the main stand has made a right old balls up.
Superb location though.0 -
Praying for Gillingham away for Maidstone! Not been a proper Kent derby since 92!! Think we'd fill the away end there easily.1

Welling so unlucky not to earn a point against the leaders, Barnet. Conceded an injury time goal after missing a couple of good chances in the second half.0

I thought they would run out of steam against a professional 11, however the opposite happened.DaveMehmet said:Welling so unlucky not to earn a point against the leaders, Barnet. Conceded an injury time goal after missing a couple of good chances in the second half.
Welling took the game to Barnet in the second half and looked worthy of a point.
Barnet brought on Charlie MacDonald in the second half.
Martin Allen as animated as ever.
Good game.
As for the matchday barmaids in that pure bar, very tidy.

Ditto on the barmaids! I've always thought that Martin Allen was a bit of a dick but to be fair he took time to come over to my daughter who was part of the guard of honour for the players and told her he hoped she enjoyed her day.Robbo on the wing said:

Went to Bromley 3 v 4 Dartford today and saw an absolute cracking game of football, great advert for The F.A. Cup.
Attendance was 4150, great atmosphere as well.

Yep, I was there too. If Bromley could defend crosses they would have won. Cracking game though.Badger said:Went to Bromley 3 v 4 Dartford today and saw an absolute cracking game of football, great advert for The F.A. Cup.

Went to ebbsfleet today. 0-0. Absolutely woeful. Wish I'd stayed at home and watched the rugby!!0

Dartford never really got going in the 1st half and Bromley almost went 2-0 up but it wasn't to be.
2nd half Dartford came out and upped their game and scored quickly, it really was end to end and played on a heavy pitch which will leave both sets of players tired.
Dartford are playing Welling on Tuesday.
Ref had a good game and although tackles were flying in an honest game of Football.
