Even Emily Bishop loves it!0

Purposely avoided this thread as I started watching BB for the first time on Netflix last month. Just finished the last episode 'Felina' and have no doubt this was the best thing I've ever watched on tele. I AM THE ONE WHO KNOCKS...2

The walking dead is extremely good, just in case anyone wants a new fix.
Especially entertaining if you enjoy dystopias and/or have played The Last Of Us on the PS3

Best tv show ever made IMO.
I think you need to watch it a second time to really appreciate how good it is.
It's the tv show I find myself comparing every new tv show to.
It's a bit of a slow burner, especially in season 1, but it's worth it.
Incredible show. If you haven't watched it - watch it!0 - Sponsored links:

A 2nd viewing allows you to dissect it in better detail.
People slagged off Felina...I loved it.

i'm glad you asked.
the sopranos
the wire
mad men
boardwalk empire
are all better than breaking bad, which has a distinct lack of decent female characters, incredibly far fetched and not very in depth story and characters. It's entertaining but its similar to the first couple of seasons of LOST where it's action action action cancer action action action swatting a fly action action end.1 -
Never seen an episode0

Mad Men is a load of guff.1

mad men is a brilliantly written piece of tv.1 -
Don't suppose anyone remembers the episode 'fly' in season 4 of breaking bad? One of the worst bits of TV i've ever watched.
The whole series was good though - not spectacular like some people make out.1 -
agreed. Season 2 was rubbish and the final season wasn't great either.cafcnick1992 said:Don't suppose anyone remembers the episode 'fly' in season 4 of breaking bad? One of the worst bits of TV i've ever watched.

Mad Men was good for a while but it's just become so repetitive now. Plus you can't criticise Skyler in Breaking Bad without also pointing out Betty Draper in Mad Men who is essentially the same shitty character; so mopey and whiny that she actually has you siding with the drug baron/serial cheating bastard.0

What's Mad Men about?0

yeah but what other female characters are in breaking bad? Mad men has Joan (mmm) and Peggy (probably one of the best written female tv characters) who are "normal" and not a complete cunt like skyler.Garrymanilow said:Mad Men was good for a while but it's just become so repetitive now. Boardwalk is nothing compared to Breaking Bad. Nothing.0

a new york ad agency through the 1960s. Led by a charismatic but troubled creative director don draper. It's a slow burner but brilliantly made.PL54 said:What's Mad Men about?

Haven't got the stamina for 6 (?) Series of breaking bad.0 -
Breaking Bad: 5 series, 62 episodes.
Mad Men: 7 series, 85 episodes.0 -

I enjoyed Breaking Bad more than The Sopranos. Sincerest of apologies to Kentaddick for this sin.1

Gus' back story was sublime I think its complete nonsense to suggest its purely action as if its the Expendables or something. No idea why an American TV series being far-fetched would impact how good it is either?0
