Quite sorry to see George go to be honest. At the start of the season I thought he formed a good partnership with Igor. It was when he didn't have him there he struggled. Great game against Derby.6

So. Tucudean has gone from an 800,000 Euro purchase to an 18 month loan ? So basically giving the player away to get the wages off the books. A true work of negotiating genius from Duchatelet (if true).4

Whatever your thoughts on George, I believe he had ability and tried, and for that reason he added something to the squad.
I don't inderstand the logic that we can't score goals yet we give a striker away. That's seems mental.
Hopefully more than one forward coming in over the coming days or perhaps the plan is to sign more defenders and field a team of centre backs - with Igor up top on crutches on his own.4 -
George appears to be a decent character, but is not good enough / right type of player for the Championship. Shame he missed the Millwall chance as he would have been a legend. Ifs, but and maybes. Goes down as another (forseeable) Duchatelet failed network signing.0

The players wages normally will be paid by the borrowing club, of course - but there's usually an additional 'loan transfer fee' involved, where a sum of money is paid either at the commencement of the loan or at regular periods during the course of the loan period.
Now it's been said our friend George is going to be loaned for 18 months.
That's an exceptionally long time for a loan; it seems to me that RD will be receiving a big loan transfer fee during/to cover that period.
And Charlton still retain the player's registration.
Or Steua like what they see with George and later make the move permanent - plenty of options to consider.0 -

What I liked about George was his range. He could manage the spectrum from a park player, to a World Cup goalscorer. Not all players are so versatile.

Not a bad footballer but doesn't have something about him to make him a proper threat at this level, either pace, strength and ability in the air or stand out technical ability. Saying that a bit more composure in front of goal and he'd have scored 2/3 more and things might look a bit different.
Now that we're struggling I don't think we can afford to wait and see if he adapts to Championship football.3 -
Plenty of managers and coaches have said that players take time to adapt to any new league let alone an English one and it's often a year or so before you see the best of a player.. There are plenty of examples of this around! I think George could turn out to be a good player but too much was expected of him too soon! If he was second choice to yann this year and making appearances from the bench or the odd start every now and then.. Probably didn't help him that Vetokele hit the ground running, so people compare the two. Mind you, I see little difference in them at the moment. However, we've had a taste of Igor and know what he's capable of. I am glad that I signed and I dress shirt Star. I knew about my interest in transfer since last year and I think it is a step forward in my career to evolve for a team which aims performance in Europe. Now remains to work hard to prove I deserve to play at Steaua and I hope not to disappoint expectations, because they are aware that the club have made an effort rewarded by good developments. I want to win trophies and I enjoy the fact that I'm at a club I will ease this task!

George Tucudean has joined Steaua Bucharest on loan until the end of the 2015/16 season, the club can confirm.
The paperwork for the loan move was finalised late on Thursday evening and Tucudean has now joined up with his new teammates in his home country.
Steaua are currently leading the way in the Romanian top flight with 43 points after 17 minutes. They return to league action on Saturday, February 21st following the league’s winter break
