    I confess. It gets to the stage where we sign some guy with only one leg and an asthma condition, plus an allergy to grass, and I wake up the day after the deadline feeling great because, hey, we signed someone, and apparently PSV Eindhoven were offering him a contract fifteen years ago. Then he does'nt start a single first team game, but by march he's been seen in the academy and it turns out the leg he lost was the one he shot with.
    Who cares, next transfer window and I'll do it all again.

    The cure for my sad condition? Buy a decent striker Roly, FFS!

    will be 35 at the start of next season - will never believe a word said again by RD or KM if he signs as we sold Kermogant as he was 30-odd & would have no value at the end of his contract.

    I am now going to leave this thread and CL in general until 11pm, at which point I will log back in, come onto this thread and read through the drama as it unfolds. If there are no signings, I will calmly close my laptop, kiss my family and make my way out to the shed with a bottle of scotch and a revolver.

    None of our current player's have any value and they're under contract. If they had value, they'd have been sold already. The one's with no value (or skill) will be arriving soon :smile:

    The team have worked tirelessly to get these deals over the line. These things are difficult to get right. We had four deals lined up, one worth over £4m but the door slammed shut too early for us to complete. One problem was that Colin had switched off his phone so we couldn't get the signings ratified in time. We will be looking at our assets when the loan window opens next week to see if there is anything we can do.*
