Oh no, here comes Woakes.0
-
Woakes first ball should have been height no-ball - not given. 2nd ball was wide wide (given). 3rd and 4th were at least straight. 5th goes for 6. 6th ball was a front foot no ball that also would have been called a height no-ball - and free-hit goes for 1.
What a dreadful over from a dreadful player. When you think of the likes of Harmy,Freddie,Hoggy,Simon Jones.... and now we've got Woakes !!!0 -
It started off really well. First ten overs were impressive, Morgan was backing up his bowlers with attacking fielders and they were bowling the right lengths and Anderson in particular was getting the ball swinging both ways.The_President said:Only been watching this for last 10 mins, but what the hell is going on?
We even struggle aginst Bangla Desh .
Callum, what was the bowling like early doors?
Since then... it's all been a bit turd. With the exception of Moeen Ali who was tidy again.0 -

Jordan bowling some good yorkers - makes a change !!
Jordan or Woakes - surely its a no-brainer .0 -
Jordan takes wicket off last ball of his 10 - just 3 off the over - bowled well- lots of yorkers.0
-
BAN 265-7, 49 overs
Rahman 14 (12) c Morgan b Jordan
Fantastic penultimate over from Jordan culminates in the bastman giving his wicket away when desperately trying to find the fence.0 -
266-7 off 490

Chris Jordan (with the exception of the wide delivery) just demonstrated a perfect over of death bowling there. I know the opponents aren't Australia or South Africa but that was excellent stuff.0
-
Now Woakes back on - first ball goes for 4 !0
-
Woakes final over goes for 10.
BG end on 275-70 -
Bangladesh score 275-7 from their 50 overs.0
-
I'm no expert on Bangladeshi cricket but I would assume that their bowling attack is fairly tame. Should be OK if we bat decently or better but soon becomes tricky if things go wrong.1
-
Bangladesh have plenty of spinners, so expect some mistimed sweeps going straight to hands0
-
We should get the runs but it won't be easy.
Betfair have us at 75.5% chance and Bangladesh at 24.5% chance.0 -
Australian umpire gives Moeen Ali out lbw in the second over.
Ali reviews it and it's overturned. The ball pitched outside leg stump.0 -
ENG 13-0, 2 overs
Ali 13 (10)
Bell 0 (2)0 -
Spin bowler comes on and immediately the easy atmosphere changes. Bizarre mix up out of nothing leads to Moeen Ali being run out.
Ali 19 (21) run out

Alex Hales faces his first ball and whacks it for four. Great shot.1

Who has the call? The non-striker? Seemed like Bells fault.Callumcafc said:Spin bowler comes on and immediately the easy atmosphere changes. Bizarre mix up out of nothing leads to Moeen Ali being run out.

I don't think there was a run really. If there was, it was a very tight one. Bell (the non-striker) was never interested but by the time Ali realised what was happening, he was too far down the pitch to get back in time.

I would just like to say at the outset that it's all Bell's fault.

It was a combination of the two. Bell was ball watching and whilst it was Ali's call there wasn't one danger end but two to consider.0
