Just in - nothing! Do not believe it was posted last Friday as I was told on the phone! It would have been here by now. Don't think they have a scooby which were sent (obviously some) and which weren't! Guess it will be a wait on the phone tomorrow...

@g hell. So sorry or all those who have last minute issues here. I got my season ticket last Thursday. Being selfish, I'm now wondering whether I'll get to my seat on Saturday to find four other people all with tickets for my seat. What a farce.

RD : Katrien, I still need you to shave a few thousand off of the operational costs.

KM: But RD, I've sacked all the programme sellers and I've reduced the chips to 14 per customer.
I even made sure that hardly anyone could use their vouchers for the Bournemouth game by ensuring we sold out by midday. Hmm.

RD: You need to think outside the box.

KM: Got it. Let's pretend to send out 2,000 S/T's & get the poor saps to come & collect them. This will save a few grand in postage & stationary.
Also, some of the saps will then go into Bartrams or the Fans Bar & we'll make another grand at least.

Quick poll to see who didn't get their season ticket to see if any correlation.

    1) did you renew early, I did in March.

    2) where do you sit, I'm North lower.

    3) what letter does your surname begin with, I'm W.

    4) did you have multiple applications, I had 3.

    Cheers.

I'm beginning to think they managed to migrate very old data and many of these tickets were sent to old or incorrect addresses.

My ticket arrived addressed to my Dad and had his name on it. His also arrived one of them had a pre printed letter the other had a sticker stuck over it so it's clear that they had to amend many of the ticket letters with stickers. This must have been done manually.

To issue my ticket to my Dad's name and address it to his house (where I've never lived) suggests this must have been done manually. Add to this the fact hat my son's ticket, which was paid for at the same time as mine, when I purchased them online, arrived the same day to the correct address with the correct name on it.

It looks like the whole thing went wrong. If it hadn't chances are that every fan would have had their ticket in plenty of time. There are probably a whole load of these season ticket cards that have gone to a completely 'random' address. This also makes me believe that this is why they want the tickets collected - they are not confident of where anyone lives and would have to give that away by asking these fans to confirm their name, address, CON number and seat location (stand, row, seat number).

This suggests that the whole database will have to be rebuilt before next year's season tickets are issued.

I also wonder if they are regretting not using paper printed application forms. Unless, of course, they knew back in February that their database was compromised. That could be why they chose not to post our season ticket applications.

Either way it is now clear that his is more than just a delay in the postage and something that needs to be addressed for the future and, probably, needs some very professional PR to remove the resentment that this has caused.

Either that or we need to go on a run of wins that will make us all happy.

Ironically, I have my ticket as does my Dad and my Son, but we are away for two weeks and don't, actually, need them until we play Hull.

Could it be that the issue has come about due to season tickets being sent to fans old addresses that may still be in the system. I know of someone this has happened to but still has access to their old address so now has their ticket. Have any of those who have not received a ticket moved in the last few seasons?

Lived in four different places in my time as a season ticket holder, so it could have gone to any of those!

But presumably as with ALL fans buying/renewing season tkts this season, you ensure your correct details inc address are on the form you submit with your payment ?

Surely this is the way to ensure the details the database holds for you are correct !

And why a season ticket cannot be expected to be lost due to an incorrect address.....

But the worrying thing is IF so many season tickets have been sent to totally incorrect addresses, shouldn't we expect said fortuitous recipients to not look a gift horse in the mouth and USE said ticket on Saturday ?

Hope the stewards are prepared for this eventuality !

Said ticket will have been rendered USELESS if a replacement has been issued.

Plausible but unlikely. The more likely scenario is that the transition from old to new database was never checked properly and once the misalignment of data became apparent it was too late to redo it.

When I spoke to the ticket office they checked the renewal details of our 4 seats on the old system and they were correct. It sounded like they were then re-entering those details onto the new system as we spoke. Despite this the 4 tickets have had the seat numbers re-arranged. Of couse this could just be a mistake.

Joined the queue at the box office this afternoon and was given my ST at last. Unsurprisingly, I'm afraid, there was no apology or explanation about what went wrong.

In this situation the club needed to train its staff how to give genuine honest apologies to ST holders who have been badly let down and inconvenienced. It's not rocket science. The whole ST issue is a PR disaster and a failure of management.

It seems to me the club's aim is to shift blame onto the PO or whoever else had the tickets in their care before they were dispatched. Whether that's the case or not I don't know.

Hope the police/stewards are aware of this, as essentially there may be a heap of people who have paid for a sporting event standing outside as it kicks off... I wouldn't be happy. It alway's seems to be us to our own fans of late, I'm sure the QPR lot all have their tickets in hand and will fill up the away end before half of us even do!

Instead of looking forward to the first game of a new season the only thing I have on my mind about the club is my fcking season tickets haven't turned up. No doubt it will all go smoothly and turn out to be a non event by 3pm on Saturday but the nagging concern is we don't know the scale of the problem (or at least I haven't seen any figures) - are we talking about the handful or so posters on here that haven't received their tickets, or thousands of fans ?

Hopefully everyone will be inside the ground before 3pm but with hundreds, possibly a couple of thousand people still without Season tickets having to collect said items plus the new barcode ticket system which will cause delays just down to people getting used to it.

Saturday could be up there with the crush for the 1995 Man Utd FA Youth Cup match and the away ticket fiasco's for Swindon in 2010 and Man Utd in 1994.

Arrive early if the kick off is not delayed

more than a handful on here so I reckon if you expand that to our whole fanbase we are talking of big numbers, over a thousand imo. For example, five season tickets in our family and only one received so of the four not received I'm the only one to post that fact on here. It's a big cock up and I'm not leaving it to chance on the day, will go down there Friday after work. Imagine you queue Saturday for 20 mins and then find they have not got the reprinted ticket they said would be there. It's going to be messy imo.

Agree with Large Addick, a lot more than just a handful on here and likely to be over a thousand in total. I fear Saturday could turn really nasty. Someone, surely the one in charge of ticket office, should be getting their P45 for this mess. Totally unacceptable!

    2 tickets - neither received.

Like others, this has tainted my excitement for the start of the season. If it wasn't for who the opposition are (my cousin's team!) I'd be seriously thinking about not bothering. Can see it being chaos at the ticket office - and I haven't even tried to phone up yet!

I would call them as I don't think they are planning on printing tickets on Saturday. They will, probably, print them in advance and make sure they are ready to go on Saturday.

I have lived at the same address for 13 years and have received tickets for the Derby, Nottingham, Wolves and D&R in the last 10 days.

Living in Manchester the ticket office were happy to send out my ST first class. If it doesn't arrive in time I will purchase a ticket on the day and claim the money back

This isn't a new problem for them though is it. The previous season loads of season ticket renewal forms were misaddressed. They avoided that problem this year by not bothering to send any renewal forms at all. Its obvious their customer database is FUBAR and in two years they appear to have done nothing to rectify it. A monkey with a hammer could do a better job I reckon!
