Excellent BBC interviews from both Prague and Airman, articulated the issues very well indeed1

You were supposed to get BP immediately, but he was still to tied to another club. So you got JR till the end of the season ...northstandsteve said:just listened well done. Can't have Riga myself, loved him last time, but if he wasn't the right man for Roland last time what makes him right now RD can go fuck himself.

Blimey, so we could already have been in the 3rd division now, if that had happenedskywalker said:

Good, so when I've finished protesting about the way the club is run I can protest about his crimes against journalism and society. Or at the least, enquire when exactly he became a Charlton fan, and gave up his natural habitat of the Den, to which he should feck back off.JohnnyH2 said:Kelven McKenzie mentioned it in his column today and said he is joining the protests

Great new article on our current situation written by CAFC season ticket holder Charlie Atkin of The Independent:

Thats a good piece, well written and I hope well received by other National papers who can pick up the storyBristol Addick said:Great new article on our current situation written by CAFC season ticket holder Charlie Atkin of The Independent:

I thought he was fucking off to QPR? Or did they not want him either?PragueAddick said:

Looks like he joining us in the west stand car park.2 -
Don't care where the message comes from, the more the national media picks up on this, the more the pressure mounts and greater the chance that the Belgians all sod off home.8

Would rather go for a pint with Roly than McKenzie.guinnessaddick said:aliwibble said:

It's pretty much a truncated rip-off of what I did two weeks ago: https://medium.com/@darryl1974/how-roland-duchâtelet-and-katrien-meire-are-killing-charlton-athletic-dc8a9ed7e91c#.5lhxnfz0uBristol Addick said:Great new article on our current situation written by CAFC season ticket holder Charlie Atkin of The Independent:

I was very happy for The Guardian to use my piece as a jumping-off point when Nick Miller did the piece on New Year's Day about RD and KM, but this is taking the piss. I might ask the Independent for a donation to CARD funds, since I'm been too skint to contribute much so far.18 -
And yeah, I'd love to see Mackenize stay well clear of any protest. He's the last person we need.6
-
There is as much chance of seeing serial liar Mackenzie at the protests as there is of seeing Elvis Presley .
We do not want that nasty piece of work associated with the cause.4 -
Just caught the end of the BBC London News piece, which wrongly credited Clive Efford as "the local MP".0
-
Pretty poor piece, IMO, but I suppose it helps raises wider awareness. Another statement from the interim comms person.InspectorSands said:Just caught the end of the BBC London News piece, which wrongly credited Clive Efford as "the local MP".

It should be available here later - http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b006mj67 - but the BBC tends to take down local news shows after just a day so if anyone who wants to grab it will need to move quick.
Just watched it on the rewind thing (http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/live/bbcone?rewindTo=current - it's about 15 minutes into the programme) and Steve Clarke came over well. The statement about being competitive in the Championshop was obviously nonsense and the reporter clearly swallowed the club line about an increase in the playing budget. Sad to see them hide behind the community trust, too.0 -
Not so easy for KM to ignore when it's the BBC and MP's knocking on the door. Wasn't a great piece but at least it'll hit a wide audience.
On with the protests!1 -

Agree. Apparently the reporter expressed a certain amount of empathy with KM, having talked to her in the past.BartleyPark said:Not so easy for KM to ignore when it's the BBC and MP's knocking on the door. Wasn't a great piece but at least it'll hit a wide audience.

We would have been better with a Panorama take on this situation,
where as they tried to put both sides which i guess is their job.
The overall Media response from newspapers,Radio,TV,and social media is
a landslide for the fans so the onus is on the Owner who had to come out of his bunker to speak a few words.
This still has some way to run.
PS. Good to see my Black and White Umbrella ella ella.1 -
Thought the BBC piece was terrible. Increased playing budget? Yeah right...
I wrote this for a betting website http://blog.betfect.com/sports-predictions/sky-bet-championship-bp/happiness-at-the-rehiring-of-riga-shows-how-charlton-fans-expectations-have-fallen-under-duchatelet/ if anyone fancies a read.1 -
I know you might be joking but I'll say it again and again: the only way of getting through to them will be to protest in Belgium, either at St Truiden or Staprix.ElfsborgAddick said:

@Yanntheman, well written sir and a bloody good read, love the sausage role analogy!!2
-
Agree. But the new direction within the club of greater communication with fans again is shown to be bullshit as nobody would speak to the BBC (who were outside the ground) but they did find time to issue a statement from inside the bunker.BartleyPark said:Not so easy for KM to ignore when it's the BBC and MP's knocking on the door.
