"2 greedy bastads, there's only 2 greedy bastads"

I seem to remember he got that aimed at him last time so he'll need to do something special to appease a lot of people.

The other greedy one being Parker of course. Never been aimed at Kermorgant as far as I know.

Not sure he is what we need in a relegation battle.

Well he pretty much saved us from one two years ago!!
But would he be so committed now? That's my doubt.
I know we have a bad team at the moment, but the marks he is being given for yesterdays performance do not reflect commitment.

Then again, most of them are just the same.

Poyet made 17 starts and 1 sub appearance for MK Dons, so did play most of their league games. As has been said they've not kept him as he's too similar to Darren Potter.

And worse than Darren Potter! Can we not send him back and bring better in?

Yann wasn't a greedy Bastard, but a moody one for sure.

Tj And Slater gave Fuller a fantastic deal for 1 year to help keep CAFC away from relegation, Yann like the other players would have got wind of this so when Kermo was after his last contract at CAFC, wanted no where near what Fuller had or for that matter what Scott Mcdonald's(striker) agent engineered at Millwall. In the End he would have accepted a smaller increase if he could have got the 2 and a half year Deal.

For some reason it suited a few CAFC supporters to go with the Greedy Narrative. Moody 100% correct.

Was he? Why write him off after 3 games? No one is looking anywhere near good enough at the moment. At least we know Poyet is capable.

I wrote him off when he left us. I don't see why we should have the double whammy of getting relegated and helping the traitor's career get back on track. He clearly isn't the same player or he would have been extended by Milton Keynes. Milton Keynes FFS! He hinted the reason for leaving us at the time was Powell's sacking, but he has come back to the owner he seemingly had a beef with.

As for Yann - the reacton fans gave him on the last game of last season said that we know he wasn't being greedy.
  • To be fair it is easy to have scruples when you aren't looking at a future with Swindon. I've left jobs because I was pissed off with the management and then gone back later. Didn't feel that good but no one called me a traitor.

He's not looking the same player and looks to have regressed if anything. Mind you, you could say that about any of them right now.

Was he what we really needed? My answer is no
Just another example of their pathetic player recruitment policy - stinks of a signing to appease fans.
Our midfield to put it bluntly is absloute shit, yes our defending is shit too but when do our midfield ever give the defense a rest by retaining possession of the ball.
Total lack of midfielders who are comfortable with the ball at their feet, what do these scouts actually do?
  • Poyet will have an impact, so long as we make some other proper signings i.e. left-back, centre-half, creative mid, right winger, Yann Kermorgant.

The scouts are picking players in isolation, using metrics, with no thought or idea whether they fit into the team pattern. It's ...here's a bunch of players, get on with it.

In a proper set up, the manager will ask the Chief Scout for a certain type of player. The Chief Scout and his scouting team will go and watch suitable players, then recommend them to the manager, who will have the final say. Any manager worth his salt will know every player in the league anyway. That structure has been broken-up.

We ain't a proper set up. It's all guess-work by Belgians in front of lap-tops, who have no idea of the standard of the English Championship. 0-5, 0-6 is the outcome. There's more to come, because this squad is shot to pieces and Riga has no chance of turning it around unless he can identify 5/6 players and get them in before the end of the window. The dressing room is fractured. There is a culture of "it's not my responsibility", why should I bother my arse.

Vaz Te, Reza and JBG have well and truly bought into that culture and others are fast joining.

When did Reza have any other attitude ? I suppose his year in Kuwait demonstrated outstanding loyalty
  • He must dislike us even more now warming our bench whilst on loan, same with WHU; they won't be happy with what's been happening so far. We're a basket case of a Club.

    Needs to be starting imo.
JJ can't be in a two man midfield.
  • If Diego Poyet isn't starting then its down to the individual player for me.

From reports against Huddersfield and Colchester he seemed down right average

Indeed, as he was at Franchise, no?

Dont know if this is in agreement with my previous comment or not lol!

But Franchise is a perfect example, signed to cover an injury (Darren Porter) and then when they return, his services are no longer required... To me it doesnt sound of a player who is going to be a hot prospect in the Premier League or even Championship and I stand by my comment that whilst Jordan Cousins has moved forwards with his development, Diego Poyet has stood still or even gone backwards

He's gone from PotY to not even making the subs bench regularly in the space of 18 months. Something has clearly gone spectacularly wrong with young Diego.

Yeah when your Dad tries to give you advice... Tell him where to stick it
  • I'm in the East Stand and dont have the greatest vision yet does Diego do much warming up during the matches?

Clearly his homage to the great Belgian surrealist Rene Magritte is an attempt to gain favour with our Belgian owners and head coach via the medium of art.

None at all that I've noticed from my spot in the northern end of the West stand. Shame cos the DP we remember in centre mid would free JC to play outside him to the right and enable the head coach to bin off the thieving despicable icelandic ponse.

You really are JBG's biggest fan aren't you!? Should be - the man has provided more assists than any other player this season (9).
