We are proud to announce that today is Banner Day at The Valley. CARD has produced more than 100 banners with a message for the owners which we are asking “customers” to display during today’s match with Bristol City.
These will be distributed by CARD to already identified supporters prior to the game with instructions to hold them up for 60 seconds after 19.05 minutes and every time there is a chant of “Stand Up If You Want Them Out” – and otherwise as fans feel comfortable.
These banners are 1m x 1.47m so they comply with fire regulations, and we are also asking fans to avoid covering any exit signs.
It is unlikely the club will try to remove these banners from display during the match as it will not be feasible. However, if any supporters ARE approached by a steward, please do not become abusive, as that is a basis on which you could be ejected.
Another 400-plus black and white scarves will be available free near the big Charlton badge on the back of the north stand at 2.30pm (though a donation towards the Protest fund would be much appreciated).
This morning we also unveiled the first of our CARD billboards in Charlton at the junction of Anchor & Hope Lane and Bugsby Way – and we are urging supporters to visit the site, take a selfie and share it on social media.
This is part of our campaign to get the message that #WeWantOurCharltonBack spread far and wide. There will be much more to come.
Finally, we can now confirm that CARD is NOT organising a 5pm protest today, but rest assured that we will be returning to this tactic – with a twist – next Saturday against Cardiff City.
We’re here for the long haul. We won’t be doing the same thing every match, as that wouldn’t be effective.
And remember - SUPPORT THE TEAM, NOT THE REGIME.

I know. only have to look at the papers today. full of it. and the fact that we all know about it where as most wouldn't know of our plight says it all. we are like a small country having a civil war, we get a brief mention in world affaires part of the paper and that's about it.TellyTubby said:

Tweeted the billboard picture to various people on Twitter, has been picked up by some of the football culture accounts (most have 1000s of followers) and re-tweeted, re-posted. Hopefully it'll get a large amount of press.
Edit* Now picked up by Liverpool, Ipswich, Blackburn, Everton, Aston Villa, Bayern Munich and several european fan groups.32 - Sponsored links:

Just imagine how good things could be Katrien if we worked together..!!
And look how bad we are making some of your staff look especially when you said "you think you know what's best"
The people that you have employed Katrien have come out with nothing compared to CARD

Saw the poster by makro as I drive past earlier. Looked very good.
No protest after the game?
Shame, it looks like they've got extra horses in this week..10 -
Sammy, I think there was a general feeling after the last post match protest that they will very quickly going to fizzle out if maintained every game. There needs to be a mixture of pre, post and other forms of protest all supplemented, and perhaps with the west stand protests given an angle.sammy391 said:Why no protest today guys?
The club simply have to plan for one for every game, and even if CARD are not encouraging one for today, there is no guarantee that others won't ad hoc (particularly if we lose).
CARD will sometimes announce well in advance there will / won't be a West Stand protest, and sometimes that will be announced at 12.
CARD have said today that there will definitive be one, with a twist, next week.13 -
Everybody will be behind the west stand after the game buying their tickets for the Fulham match instead0

The club are sending out a flood of tweets about the Valley Review just now. What articles are in it and where to buy it. They seem to be rattled.2

Stewards outside the north stand preparing themselves for banners - heard the 'boss' telling them to be wary as "they'll be wearing them!"8

Any pictures of the banners?
Excellent billboard.0 -

Just seen Seb Lewis prevented from bringing his flag in. The same flag that's there every game without fail. What a joke. #CAFC
