Ahmed Kashi Injury (p3 - 12/7 out for another 4 months)
Comments

Ahmed Kashi is struggling with a heel problem. He’s seeing a specialist on Wednesday afternoon to determine how quickly we can get him back without having any further reactions. We’re trying to get to the bottom of the injury, but we’re hoping to have him back sooner rather than later.
Is what Erol reported on Ahmed0 -
Do people still think he is injuried or is there another issue?0

I've had heel and achilles problems for the last year. They're miserable. It's easy to think you're on the mend, start to go back to working on things like fitness, only to completely break down again, all with the risk of rupturing the achilles (which is good for about a year out).0

Great response, which makes a serious point about Vetokele, and resurrects the questions about the medical regime we've had in place for the last season and a half.Oggy Red said:

You don't have to look far within the NHS to see what happens when budgets don't match expected "delivery"

HA! I too got fat as a result of my injury! Lost all my pace too. Never actually had any pace, but let's not let details get in the way.Oggy Red said:

Agree that it is worth questioning the work of the medical staff, as groin and achilles injuries tend to require rest and carefully monitored rehabilitation as they have high risks of recurrence.
That said, to be fair, they have high risk of recurrence and there often isn't a magical cure. You can do everything right in terms of treatment, and a player can still break down.0 -
We were told Kashi was Luzon's signing, so he'll probably be shipped out in January anyway.0

Out for another 4 months due to complications with his Achilles. At least he won't be sold1

4 months according to official Twitter page what the f is going on!!!!!l0

This is a massive blow. I know it will be construed as having a go for the sake of it, but this stinks of injury mis-management again. Will possibly see Crofts offered a deal.4

Great, the 'senior management team' have another excuse lined up for the end of the season...1
-
Maybe we rushed him against Leeds / Burnley to try and sell him to prove he was fit!!... Four months should be ideal as he can then be sold in January!!2
-
Could he be the new Gary Poole?0
-
Terrible news. I thought it strange that our next priority was a defensive midfielder.sam3110 said:Out for another 4 months due to complications with his Achilles. At least he won't be sold

Lennon - six weeks
Diarra - six weeks

Bauer 2 weeks.0

Bollocks.
I hope that was nothing to with him playing in dead rubbers at the end of last season.
I found it strange that we didn't just continue fitness work until this season.0 -

Well that's dandy.0

Might see us hold onto one or two players more now, Teixeira and Johnson only 2 fit centre backs at the moment.2

yeah but four months will turn to six, he'll return next March, help us avoid relegation and then we won't have to sell him as he will leave on a free.colin1961 said:It's a massive blow but it means we won't sell him

I blame Erol Umet0

Central midfield now consists of Jackson and Ba once Cousins leaves.1

Those chest high waders DEFINITELY contributed to his problem.
