Roger Johnson Yelling At Fans

I can assure you that wasn't the case.cafcnick1992 said:Has anyone considered that maybe Roger was being called a C* amongst other things all the way through the Bury game and he eventually retaliated?

Given our high number of alternatives at CB I'm surprised RS didn't discipline him and put him on the list to give himself options elsewhere.0

Johnson has the power of telepathy and knows many think he is a C*, so he retaliated on that basis.3
-
That explains it0

Shame really as he had just had a reasonably decent game and with a full preseason I think he could have been a useful back up. As it is we have enough centre backs even if Tex leaves that it wouldn't surprise me if he doesn't play again all season.0
-
I think he has to go now, but fans should ease up a bit on him from now on. The point has been made.4

He has had a series of big and small money transfers and sustained a good income from football.
What he might or might not do with his money maybe another matter, if his agent is as good as he or she seems, then Johnson would have put some money away.
He remains on contract to us and we are obliged to continue to pay him, so I don't feel sorry for him.
If he had been roundly abused at Bury which he wasn't then a bit of industrial language exchanged might be understandable, and even forgivable. However it is as I have said before. Not general banter related near the knuckle abuse, but what he actually said.
I believe it was 'it you don't f***ing like it, don't come ' or very close to that sentiment. This said to fans who schlepped to Bury prepared to back the team.
I expect very soon Johnson will dream of gettin a gig in the Indian Poonarmie League.0 - Sponsored links:

He could help himself my saying sorry to the supporters. Doubt it will happen and I doubt he really cares what people think of himMuttleyCAFC said:I think he has to go now, but fans should ease up a bit on him from now on. The point has been made.

I didn't like the booing of RoJo yesterday after the performance the lads put in. It created a negative atmosphere amongst what was a very enjoyable evening.
I do also find it seriously hard to believe that RoJo wasn't provoked during the Bury game. I've been to enough away games to witness some of the pondlife that follow Charlton. How often can you be sworn at before you react?4 -

His comment was directed at me personally and it was in reaction to me saying "come on guys show some f*cking pride". If that's provocation then I'm guilty as charged.cafcnick1992 said:I didn't like the booing of RoJo yesterday after the performance the lads put in. Fans have abuse him, he's abused fans. We need all the players we can get so let it go. We need to get out of this division ASAP.

I've some great news for everyone!!
Coming out of Bartrams prior to the game last night I walked past none other than Peter Taylor... Now he was Manager of Kerala Blasters FC in 2015 so must mean he was scouting Roger Johnson for a return to the Indian Premier League? - Either that or he's working as a scout for some Premier League team over here and was looking at Ademola Lookman but I doubt that one!!0 - Sponsored links:

Love that photo, for years now I have struggled to buy XL Charlton replica gear, now we know that big Russ sports XXXL then I should have no problems when I am next over.AdTheAddicK said:

How on earth did he ever manage to get himself an 18 month deal.
He will be until the end of the season. My money is on fewer than 5 appearances this season.0 -
Can't see the point of booing him - how will it work if he has to play?3
-
Probably the same way it usually does - in defeat.hoof_it_up_to_benty said:Can't see the point of booing him - how will it work if he has to play?

A good question and one both the club and Johnson should be addressing.hoof_it_up_to_benty said:Can't see the point of booing him - how will it work if he has to play?

Well, we boo him, at the end of the game he'll call everybody a c@unt and everybody goes home happyhoof_it_up_to_benty said:Can't see the point of booing him - how will it work if he has to play?

you find it hard to believe BUT people yes more than 1 have said he was not abused!cafcnick1992 said:I didn't like the booing of RoJo yesterday after the performance the lads put in. It created a negative atmosphere amongst what was a very enjoyable evening.

Honestly, how people can defend a man like him is beyond me. He has a record of being a prick at every club, he's unwelcome distraction yes, but that's because after what he has said to supporters who pay their hard earned money to go to support our club, he is unwelcome now.
One or two of the songs last night were maybe a touch too far, but the fact is, he has caused this himself.
There has been no apology from him, whether Slade has said they spoke and apologised, doesn't matter, is he that much of a coward to not be able to say anything to us or the club put a statement out?
If Bauer stays, Johnson should be at least 5th choice behind Pearce, Konsa, Bauer, Lennon. 6th if Tex stays too.
If we had lost last night, I guarantee people on here wouldn't be sticking up for him half as much. If he ever plays for us again, it's too soon.

It's quite simple really, all he has to do is send out a video apologizing etc... Then surely that should be that???0
