Roger got a bit of a serenading from the covered end, I think there was some suggestion he was a fine upstanding role model or something like that.

Probably mentioned elsewhere, I've lost track.

Think they were suggesting that instead of playing centre half, he should be a striker.

    Back to front.

    Is Roger a Johnson ?

Is he still at the Last chance Salon ?
    (1 hour before training)

What chance my 5000-1 bet on a statue being built of RoJo outside the West stand ?

Listening to some Bolton directors talking to CAFC fan on the train to The Valley on Saturday, one director was reading the team out to the fan and stopped on Johnson to ask if that was Roger Johnson, then commented that Kevin Davies once said that he was "soft". Says it all really. A centre-half who wouldn't put his body on the line.

Probably meant, that he had a kind gentle nature..

  • First away game of the season for me, Rojo got absolute pelters from the crowd when he came on today, 'you're not fit to wear the shirt' amongst others.

A lady sitting in front of , looked like a players wife or girlfriend, gave absolute daggers to people berating him.

Can you remember the last Charlton sub who got pelters from the crowd, before he got on the pitch?

He was wearing green boots, and I didn't think they suited him either.

Yeah you just said, Roger Johnson.

Just posted on the post match, turns out it was him who nearly gave away the penalty in injury time. Like I said, seven minutes. Take a look on the Sky clip.

Just looked at the clip - how the hell was that not a penalty, and what the f*** was he thinking?

    Blokes a footballing twat

I don't think you needed to use footballing.

Why on earth was he brought on ? I loathe the tactic of shoving on an extra defender - it just invites confusion ; he's not a defender

I agree. He seemed to be positioning initially in front of the back four, and quite early on it looked like they didn't quite know who should put the tackle in.

The more I think about it, the closer I realize we came to a disaster that would have sent CL ( well certainly those of us who travelled) into complete meltdown.

Robinson, you'd better have learnt your lesson there, pal.

I think Leuth made the same point on the match thread.
