I hope the new owners ban her and there will be new owners at some point.

Is there an admission there that RD said to managers 'I would like to see X Player start at some point'

And if so, how is that not an instruction?

Whether it is seen as a recommendation, suggestion, desire or command will depend upon the delivery of that from the owner but does it really matter?

    It's still wrong.

How positive to see the ambition of Roland and Katrien through the eyes of Sue.

  • Conveniently avoiding the point of what the plan actually is though

Same as the mistakes made narrative, will not and cannot detail which mistakes or what done to address them

If CARD is seen as something centered around CharltonLife, then I'd like to say that I regularly remove likes when I think a poster goes too far.

Edit: wtf? a flag for saying I unclick "like" when I feel a poster has crossed the line? I'm on my mobile so can't see who it was, but seriously?

Someone else has equally lardy fingers ;)

Is like to say I regularly flag when I don't know what a poster is on about.

But actually I left the flag on for about 3 minutes, as long as it took me to drunkenly type this.

You're doing better than me mate. If I flagged everything I didn't understand then I'd be a nightmare after a few drinks.

Hell, even sober I'd probably give Leuth a run for his money!

She's either plain fucking stupid, or a real nasty peice of work.

If you're listening Sue, I've had the "pleasure" of speaking to Katrien twice now. The first time I fell for her - she seemed genuine and honest. Want to know how long it took me to reconsider that? Under an hour. By the time I got from The Telegraph conference to Aldgate, a news story directly contradicted what she said to me. Want proof? I have a 20 minute recording that I've never shared; out of respect for the other fan involved. Subsequently further contradictions came out in the last couple of weeks when the Head Scout left.

You may think you're in her inner circle, but like the average fan shes treating you like a piece of shit that's incapable of critical thinking. Do you not think you may be useful to her for your Facebook nonsense? Ever wondered if the trust and respect actually goes any deeper? Hah, of course you haven't.

So Sue, maybe one of your petty little spies will pass this on to you: you're stupid, and simply acting the useful idiot to a woman who wants nothing more than an additional paragraph and a few bullet points on her CV. I genuinely feel sorry for your husband, because when the circus leaves town I genuinely hope you get put back in your place as nothing more than another paying fan - even if that means Chris is paying for the seat beside you.

You've consistently shown disdain to other fans, silenced those who are speaking out to protect the club they love, and seem to think you're something a little special - more than a mere vessel for spreading lies organically through the fanbase. (Btw, we call them "advocates" in my industry - people who spread whatever bullshit we tell them because they like our product) Whilst not only have you put your husband in an awkward position, he's nailed his colours to the mast with his previous outburst.
The saddest thing is that Sue Parkes is a decent, compassionate woman dedicated to other causes and an ardent animal lover who has indeed been totally and utterly duped by a conwoman to the extent that she cannot seem to think rationally or independently and her position now reminds me of some dedicated Downton Abbey-type servant totally in thrall of her mistress and her betters.

but, bottom line, you are right in the observation that her public comments on SE7Valiants are tantamount to a breach of confidence in some areas. As far as I know she has no official position at Charlton and whilst I would not expect a husband to keep confidential Club information from his own wife I would not expect her to use that privilege to divulge information on a facebook site - that is a breach of confidence and puts Chris Parkes in a difficult position.

A recent example was the Behavioral Contract. Sue Parkes hinted strongly on SE7 that there was more to the story than had been released by the Club and that if 'we' (those critical on SE7) were to know the full story we would change our tune. This is an appalling breach of confidence - if there was information which all parties agreed should not be aired then Sue Parkes, whilst not articulating detail, has used something gained in confidence and then posted it on Facebook on SE7 - which at that time was not a closed site.

I go back to the start. it's sad to see this happening to a grown woman she, as everyone will agree is entitled to her opinion but she is not doing her husband any favours by betraying his confidences by defending Meire and the SMT with such blind fervour- indeed quite the reverse.

"Why don't those who don't understand try to stop and listen..."

Indeed Sue. How's that going for you?
  • Like @luckyreds, I've spent time in Meire's company and I certainly don't have a high opinion of her.

Maybe this is why Sue gets on well with Nightmeire.

I notice that Coyotejohn has mentioned that Sue Parkes is an animal lover.

    Rats presumably!

So Roland and Katrien are great people who have a passion for Charlton and want great things for the club. If that is true then the only explanation for the fact that after 2 and half years of their stewardship we have dropped a division and are playing in front of our lowest crowds for well over 20 Years must be their massive incompetence.

With regard to interpretations of what Roland meant when he suggested that he would like to see X player in the team, the person at the end of that " suggestion" the Manager Chris Powell obviously considered it to be an order. We know that because he has told us.

We are at fault because when Katrien said that we were weird and she couldn't care less about the history of the club. We should have known that actually means that she has a fantastic passion and love of this club.

    Stroll on!

And here is what Chris Powell, who did get us promoted with a record points tally had to say ( not totally verbatim) about Roland, " He is a terrible owner, a liar and bad news for Charlton".

Someone should ask her how Brussell Slave would know what effect it has, given that there haven't been any large scale protests in his time at the club.

What was that about stopping to listen Sue?
