The flag was because I'm bored of this getting brought up.
The training ground has a delay - don't know why. We are advising and not a principle designer so not on the critical path for information. I've said this before.
Me and my family support Charlton. Not the glikstens, slater, Fernandez, Duchatelet or anyone else. Thick or thin, good times or bad - it's Charlton
It's like a child. You can have a child and it's yours, it can missbehave but it's still yours or can be wonderful and it's still yours.
Charlton is like a child and it's currently going through a difficult puberty

Probably because it has poor 'parents'
Agreed.
Also, I understand what you're saying Swisdom, but: that was the worst possible analogy to use in an attempt to distance yourself from Roland... it's his favourite one!

Bloody hell, I've heard it all now. What tommy rot! "Puberty" is a period of change and growth brought about by hormones at a certain time of life. Puberty is intrinsic to the person who undergoes it. You can't start it, you can't stop it, it just happens. When it's over, you've grown up. It is necessary, beneficial and inevitable.
That is nothing like what's happening to Charlton. The changes our club is undergoing are forced upon it from outside. They are not about growth or development and the club will not be bigger or stronger as a result. The club will be considerably poorer. The changes Charlton is going through are unnecessary, detrimental, and are in no way inevitable.
If you want a workable metaphor, I'd suggest vandalism, but I think Isawsummersplay's suggestion of systematic child abuse fits perfectly.
I would say the current ownership are probably less interested in the abuse than a systematic child abuser is likely to be. I wouldn't say that's a spot on analogy.
More like an accidental torturer, keeps hitting the gonads with the carpet beater because as a eunuch he has heard it may be helpful or hurt but it's been successful before.
(Apologies for blending casino royale with a random baddie eunuch there)

Are you the guy working with the club on the training ground? Shocking.

Wow. I'm still trying to work out if this is meant to be a serious post or not? Like a child you say? Really?
If the most vindictive Palace or Millwall fan were given free rein to let their imagination come up with the worst nightmare they could think of for Charlton Athletic fans I honestly don't think they could come up with anything worse than Duchatelet

By his own reckoning (in June 2015), his life expectancy is now (350-65) weeks, i.e. 285 weeks. I'm keeping a tally for him.
Or maybe the great Eddie Waring in the sky will be able to say, "he's off for an early bath!" Well, he didn't specify which code, did he?

Could we arrange a giant egg timer set to 285 weeks? Or a blue Peter totaliser type thing in reverse...?

Something of that type did cross my mind, too. With a message along the lines of get out while you can still enjoy what you have left.
Was thinking about this secret meeting. How weak does it make RD and KM look that they have to skulk around their own premises in case they bump into "protesters" aka people who don't agree with them. That you dare not engage with your "customers" unless it is all controlled. That is hardly a sign of strength. And having to hire a PR company because you cannot convince a large proportion of your "customers" that you are any good. That is an admission of failure. Even with this tight control, they still balls it up, with the 1.5% comment, which is wonderfully unique( as in weird) and then they get a member of the inner circle to resign for high treason ( as in tweeting about the secret meeting) It is actually laughable isn't it. How Roland ever made any money from anything should be the subject of serious scientific study because it defies all explanation based on his efforts at Charlton.
Just came across one of Roland's old articles. We never have found out how he intends to make it work without FFP.
“Lasting success is built on good foundations,” said Duchatelet, who owns a network of clubs across Europe, including Belgium side Standard Liege. “It is important for clubs to break even and I am a big supporter of financial fair play.
