The divide and rule strategy seems to be working. It’s obviously Latrine’s baby (look at how Douchebag jumped in to protect her honour with ‘the statement’). She’s obsessed with creating some kind of Americanized matchday experience tourist feature, in which there’s no need for real fans: bums on seats, burgers, 14 chips, the Kat Tax on match day tickets, a sofa and fan cam: that’s all it takes.
Promotion back to the Championship (if it happens) won’t change anything. How well would the current squad do in next year’s Championship, because that’s what we’d have? The regime apologists, Target 20k (a contradiction in terms), EKA, Brian Cole (I was never a great fan) – they’re like turkeys voting for Christmas.
How to ramp up the protests? Well, CARD has always been 10 steps ahead of Squirrel Face but, without the protestors, it’s Catch 22. I can understand supporters who still want to go because they’ve been going week in, week out for 20/30/40 or more years… but how anyone can give one penny to the vile, despicable Meire and her deluded millionaire uncle really defies logic.
No news is good news, as they say. I’m 100% sure CARD has something up its sleeve for the future and, in the meantime, our cretin of a CEO will show herself up every time she opens her mouth in the company of the professionals amongst whom she craves admiration (and prestige for her valiant fight to become Lord Sugar’s next Apprentice).
This lot won’t be going anywhere. Promotion this season will vindicate Latrine, then mid table obscurity, poor attendances: all that can be varnished over: Lookman will go, so that’s the balance sheet sorted. And Uncle Douchebag won’t care. Maybe if she’s ever made to realize just what a laughing stock she is will she think again; but then she’ll just say it’s because football’s run by middle-aged men.
No, they’re here for the duration and, if and when they do go, it’ll take decades of work, in every department, from the footballing side to the ticket office to the catering, to clear up the mess. In the meantime, thousands of young fans, a whole generation of future supporters, will have been lost.
Charlton AFC is looking like a very good idea. In the meantime, from an exile in France, thanks to everyone at CARD, and everyone concerned with the match day threads – a valuable lifeline. I’d love to see my team when I come back to London, but this lot won’t get a penny from me – ever.
For me the most depressing read is the figure quoted re time and money spent on CAFC compared to what he has. If these figures are true we are merely a play thing or a hobby for him and we better be prepared for the long haul as I cannot see him selling up anytime soon.
Wish someone could explain, why he owns us, there is no logic to it, he doesn't even spend enough time for it to be a hobby.
Have always said he bought club for Meire. She goes; he goes.
Hey, Kentred2, we're on the same wavelength. I think that's the case too,
Hark back to Peter Varney's emails trying to arrange a meeting on behalf of potential "investors" this time last year: after being dicked around by NightMeire didn't Reg then email RD directly, only for it to be forwarded back to KM?
If so, that conjures up the bloody awful thought that RD doesn't have anything to do with the running of the club and that, far from the Pinnocchio character she's been portrayed as, she does actually have a large degree of autonomy and really is running (sic) the club and RD merely provides the pocket money to pay the bills.
At the start of the protest campaign someone, possibly Airman, said an aim was to make the club "unmanageable": this, this, and this, in spades.
KM should be the main target - if Katrien falls, so will Roland.
True, and frankly I think she has gotten off very lightly as an individual so far.
Unfortunately she appears to be one those people with the arrogance to believe they are always right (regardless of the evidence mounting up against them) and anyone who disagrees with them has the problem, not them.
NightMeire and her supporters are also very quick to taint any criticism of her as being purely because she's a woman or from Belgium, calling her detractors sexist (even though many are female) and/or racist (although technically it should be xenophobic, not racist); the victim card is always close at hand to act as her shield.
She seems to have an ego that needs feeding on a regular basis hence her constant appearances at a variety of conferences and getting herself positions on various committees; she has to be front and centre and makes it all about "me, me, me".
Well, Kat, I've got news for you: we're not anti-Belgian sexists, we just think you're a totally inept excuse for a CEO who has brought shame and embarrassment upon our once great football club and has possibly done more to destroy it than anyone else in our history. Be in no doubt:

So what Douchebag has told us with the 1.5% statement is that if we want him to notice the protest then we have to start impacting his higher and more important investment... ... ...
Comments on Roland saying about fans mixing, seems Sue Perks is now going for a job in the UN
Easy to mix with opposition fans in the safety of directors' boxes, surrounded by fellow freeloaders and ponces. Not so easy in the home areas of Leeds, Birmingham, Millwall etc....

In order of importance:
- Melexis. - St Truiden, both football club and town. - Carl Zeiss Jena. - Alcorcon. Ujpset etc
Melexis is, by all accounts, pretty untouchable I think. It's going through a very succsssful period and seems to be involved in B2B transactions, so difficult to sway opinion or boycott.
St Truiden is obviously his home town, embarassment there should be pretty damning. Of course we've seen the results of previous escapades there.
Carl Zeiss Jena may be interesting, if only because it's currently facing an investigation due to Roland's involvement.
As for impacting these things, I haven't a clue. Hijacking Melexis press releases? Buying advertising space in St Truiden? Approaching people who have vested interests in seeing Roland's fail?
I think another desirable outcome is compromising the relationship with the PR company. No PR company wants a brand on their books which is synonymous with failure..
Interestingly I see the guy who owns the domain name of one of Roland's failed ventures - TVLokaal.be - is trying to flog it. "roland.fail" is also available, but I have no idea for it.
I think it may be worth doing some research and exploring just what avenues there are, identifying key people and - ultimately - trying a scatter gun approach before refining it. At 1.5% we can't be a punch in the face, but we can be a pebble in the shoe that eventually prevents him from carrying on with this journey.
She was the one that made the quip about Roland disliking negativity. Interestingly, I don't think she was the one that spoke to Louis... she did have a bit of a barney with Henry by the looks of it though.
There are more to come I reckon, and strongly suspect this could be the end of T20K.

I do not like to be surrounded by negativity.
I also would find the idea of removing anyone who could have a decent discussion with me from the group of people I was talking to fundamentally wrong.
I always try to find people who will push my decisions, I may disagree, I may ultimately over rule them but I need their input to make sure I am doing the best I can. The more I am challenged, the better are my decisions and the more articulate I can be in persuading others those decisions are the best ones.
I just do not understand at all why you would ask someone to resign from a group that was your last and fairly feeble attempt at fan engagement for this.

I'm going to have to resort to a favourite chant.
'We want Roland out, we want Roland out'
Spot on.
One of the best people I've ever worked with - a quality mentor, a shrewd decision maker and an honest manager - drilled home one bit of advice for me: "a successful team needs to be able to argue just as well as they need to work together".
Together we built a team that was ultimately self-governing, and took decisions in the form of committee. We'd argue and we'd huff and we'd puff.. but not once did we make a bad choice.
Hell, for all our arguments we even resigned as one. Essentially we all kept eachother in check, acted as quality control for eachother and - ultimately - ensured that every view point was covered.
That's how decisions are made: by considering the options in a comprehensive and thorough manner. What T20K are doing is nothing short of being Roland's personal echo chamber; a voice that dutifully agrees with his ideas and takes satisfaction from the false sense of involvement.
I'm sure the decision making process in his other (more successful) ventures aren't made so lightly. In fact, as an engineer, I'm sure he too understands the beauty of a committee which can assess facts and figures and subject them to a rigid debate. Something tells me that's probably quite common in Melexis.
Even if you accept that he doesn't spend much time on CAFC matters because it is such a small part of his empire, that doesn't account for him sneaking around, desperately trying to avoid fans not hand-picked to massage his ego. And presume that as we aren't really that important to him, he no longer claims to watch every match on a stream (which we all knew was bollocks anyway)
Squirrel face says Duchatelet watches all the games on a stream and I believe her.
We are all out of options it seems... We either return, which is unlikely as the poison is now deep set in the club. Or we stay away, and more continue to do so, until we are a 5k a week. Or we hunt and kill Duchatelet.
Welcome to the dark side, Alison. It's quite friendly here, really, if you care more about CAFC than personal profile.
Ah, and I may be late to the party, bit am now clear that @Swisdom is Steve Wisdom, loyal wingman of Sue Perks on SE7.
Swisdom agrees with removing segregation because "we used to be everyone's second club"?!
No. I see merit in fans mingling together outside the ground and having a beer together. Obviously not when we play a rival. But we are not known for fans that cause trouble. What's the harm in mingling with some guys from Bury, Oldham etc
Like recently where fans mingled with fleetwood's fans and ultimately their owner.

It is his primary business and is looking successful.
It is the main reason he is able to project his, and his employees arrogance into SE7.

Same as happens at rugby matches apparently
