Charlton owner Roland Duchatelet sneaks out of club to avoid protesting fans

The players should be terrified of the manager, he should inspire them to want to play well/give their all. Instead Slade says his team are likely to say "oh it's ok if I can't be arsed - I can blame it on the protests".
For the manager to come out with that tosh is truly shocking.12 -
Ahhhhh the classic 'the protests will affect team performance' line. Does she realise that we are currently 2 points off the relegation zone after 10 games in League One?4

She really is batshit.1
-
As I have maintained previously, a basically decent person, now totally entranced by exposure to Meire's manipulation of those closest to her and so deeply devoted to Meire (sitting next to her at the Bolton and other games) that she cannot tolerate even the slightest criticism of her idol. The Red Robin said:She really is batshit.
If it was a cult (which it resembles with Duchatelet as high priest and Meire as his chief disciple) then an intervention would be required.2 -
It is a cult. And intervention is required.11

That first comment from her was in reply to me. Of course she refused to actually reply to any of the points made in my comments.Cafcspud said:1 -

Ohh and Sue questioned how much of a fan I was and whether my opinion was valid because I'm not old enough to have lived through previous good/bad times.
Basically it was another way for her to not actually respond to any of the points I had raised.
I went to my first game in 1999 when I was 4 years old. I've been a season ticket holder for many years, I have attended a minimum of 10 games a season since 1999 and the only times it has dipped that low was due to going off to uni etc. I am totally obsessed with this club and I love it. I've experienced most of the Prem years and remember enough of it. I've been to enough league 1 games to make anyone want to cry. And I've paid for the privilege! Yet she has the audacity to question whether I am a fan!
As a kid I saved my Christmas money and birthday money and pocket money for months to get the club's shirt. When slightly older I got a paper round and did odd jobs to pay for tickets and merchandise. 100% of the cash I earned was spent on Charlton.
It's 2 days on and I'm still very angry about it.31 -
Before I was booted off I found that. Sue, Malcolm, Nigel, Daphne etc rarely actually answered a direct question, much preferring to throw the mud at anyone not buying into the cult of Meire, with Sue eager to label the tactics of the protesters as "illegal" and just wanting to "abuse and destroy". As she said, "If they really are fans they wouldn't try to destroy what they purport to love. Sometimes you have to be very careful what you wish for otherwise you could end up with nothing at all."cantersaddick said:

Exactly as you say. If you don't back the board you aren't a real fan.1 -
You are quite right to be angry cantersaddick, I have noticed what really amounts to trolling on SE7Valiants over the last week or so with, amazingly, even long-term posters and life-long fans being questioned very forcefully about their Charlton credentials and like you feeling the need to respond to some quite outlandish accusations that they are in fact newbies, never been to an away match or are not real fans whatever that is meant to imply.cantersaddick said:Ohh and Sue questioned how much of a fan I was and whether my opinion was valid because I'm not old enough to have lived through previous good/bad times.

I don't know if this all stems from the decision to make it a closed site in combination with the increasing paranoia of Sue Parkes that anyone on 'her' site should dare to find fault with Meire or Duchatelet.
Certainly, any mention of those two or the protests, even in passing, will bring the trolls running to the attack.
Perhaps the only way to remain on the site now, without having to feel the need to defend yourself as a legitimate and concerned fan, is to post nothing at all - which seems to defeat the point.
I might just pull out of it anyway - it has become a parody of a fan site.

Apparently CARD are the ones destroying the club? Does no-one on that site wonder why CARD even exists?3

Funny how the last two letters of COWARD are Roland Douchebag's initials.
The word must stand for something....

They are all completely deluded and just refuse to answer any questions put to them about the regime. I asked at what point they will start to lose faith in them, when we are bottom at Christmas? Or when we are relegated?
Been accused of just wanting an argument and none of them have answered it, of course. Typical.1 -
I don't buy that she's a decent person. Decent people don't speak to others the way she does. Take it from someone who's met her.Coyotejohn1947 said:

Agree with that. She's spoken to me and others on that site like absolute shit over the last few weeks. Frankly I find her rude and insulting. I have tried to remain polite and respectful when posting on there seems I try not to get banned. But have the feeling I'll lose my rag on there at some point. The Red Robin said:

The other day I replied to a comment she had made about how honourable KM is. She ignored every single one of my points raised but proceeded to question my reasoning for both supporting Roland and Katrien. I spent a fair bit of time writing a reasoned response and explaining my reasoning for all the views I have put across. To which she replies 'I don't have time to read a post that long but I can assure you that you are wrong'.18 -
I've seen your comments on there. It's good stuff. It's useful that it's not only me disagreeing with them as it splits their attention. It's funny that Sue is clearly getting worried as she is flooding the group with OS articles..Cafcspud said:They are all completely deluded and just refuse to answer any questions put to them about the regime. Yeah I think having a few of us on there helps show that we aren't just a few trouble makers.cantersaddick said:

I reckon by Christmas, if things haven't improved, there atmosphere will be pretty toxic on there and I just can't see them being so supportive of what KM is doing to the club.2 -
Yep 100%. And they can't ban everyone otherwise it'll just be Sue, Malcolm 'I'm a morris dancer so I know how to party', Daphne plus a few other suck ups like Damien.Cafcspud said:

Don't let the attention-seeking hag wind you up Canters.
If all she's got in her life is being obsessed defending a bunch of charlatans over the internet, and arguing without even addressing points then I think it's not worth you engaging or getting angry about.
People like her don't even have the capacity to think for themselves or question anything (not that that would be in her interest). Let alone have any self-awareness. Just a very sad specimen who you shouldn't be giving the time of day imo.

Unfortunately it seems you are right. I don't c9mment on there for her benefit, I do it to try and provide some balance and counter all the regime propaganda she posts. It's more for those who may be on there but hadn't seen the other side of the story.boggzy said:Don't let the attention-seeking hag wind you up Canters.

This was in a conversation about a Celtic fan who tweeted about the Rangers coach crash. Agreed it is disgusting but to turn it into a comparison to our own fans shows how she really feels and the deluded opinions she and others have.4
