If we win again on Saturday, I wouldnt have too much of a problem if Nugent got the job full time. But, hasn't he said he doesn't want it?

He was at the game tonight. I asked him when he was taking over and he said "I never stays the full 90 mins so there must be something in it"

    What ?
I'm wondering if it made more sense before it was edited.

I think what cheeky is saying is that Robinson is saying that he doesn't normally watch the full 90 minutes of games he goes to see but because he did tonight there must be something in it about him taking over. I think.

Done and dusted I reckon. Know very little of him, what I do know i'd have said he's not a Charlton type but then I have no fuckin idea what that is anymore and maybe it doesn't matter anyway. Expect he'll last a bit longer than the rest maybe even the end of season if he's lucky. Promotion or nothing is the aim right?

As things stand, I'd say so, yes. If Lookman and Bauer are sold in January and not replaced then we'll have to reasses. But with this team I think promotion should be the objective.

A Rovers steward told me at the tonight's game that Robinson will be our new Manager.

    Just passing this on.

With a couple of midfielders and no key personnel losses this team is very likely to get promoted. With a positive maanger at the helm. Of course that will only take us back where we started and who trusts the owners to have the wit to do what needs to be done - however simple it is.

The scouser has made himself the enemy already!

It's clear he doesn't understand what's going on at the club.

At the end of the day he will be judged on results and maybe he is just concerned about the team and how the protests may affect that! Everybody is jumping to conclusions about what he has supposedly said and also reading into his move here....give the guy a chance for gods sake!

I remember when my old man wrote off Euell and JJ after a pre season friendly at Reading and they went on to be heros for us in there first season at the club!

Again I have met Karl personally through my job after he bought a house through my ex employer and trust me his passion and enthusiasm for MK Dons was second to none and that shone through when we used to talk about each of our teams troubles at the bottom of the table last season! If he replicates that for us then we can only head in the right direction! Albeit with these idiots running the club but the manager and players can't help that!

surely not? Why say something to separate yourself from a large part of the fan base before you've even got the job?

"You're only here for the payoff!"

Erm, they got relegated. And had an awful start to this season as well - hence why he got sacked.

Maybe he should do some research as well in why the protests are happening. He probably doesn't understand though coming from a club with no tradition or history.

If true it is stupid. The manager has to distance himself and the team from the issue. It feels like the club could be on the verge of another mistake. GIVE NUGENT A COUPLE MORE GAMES THEN GIVE HIM THE JOB. IT ISN'T ROCKET SCIENCE MEIRE!
  • Let's see what he says in his press conference first before we hang him out to dry because of one guy on twitter.

Hopefully it will be in front of the local press who can ask some questions about the protests and ongoing unrest etc. and not one just for the comms staff!
  • Never liked him. Was always a smug bastard in Neighbours.

This - but he had better be word perfect when announced by the beaming Meire #groundhogday.

Slade was pretty decent in his press conference - he didn't declare that he didn't have any balls for instance! I have nothing against Robinson, it just makes sense to me to keep things as they are and see if it is a flash in the plan or something more substantial!
