What year was that...? - To be honest I was only born in '83 and my Football knowledge only really dates back to around 1994 / 1996 at the earliestMillwallFan said:

Think of how you feel when we beat orient or West Ham , Brentford or Chelsea
It means much more to beat the bigger better club
And for the scum they get the same feeling beating a superior club like ourselves
For us its a different ball game , our horrendous record against them and hatred of their vermin scum element means we want to beat them partly on humanitarian grounds as well as the local rival stuff which they proclaim to have a limited part of .

And even in the years before you left The Valley you didn't come across as a big or superior club. Never really done anything in the leagues or cups and regularly playing in front of crowds of 5 or so thousand. Hardly big club material.
Obviously when you made the premier league your attendances shot up but I wouldn't say this was core Charlton support. More neutrals from the sticks lured to Charlton by the promise of watching the likes of Ronaldo and Thierry Henry play at The Valley.
Hate to say it but would class West Ham as a big club. Charlton never had that feel about them though. Just my opinion.0 -

Just my opinion mate. Obviously you went on to be one of the best run clubs in the country for a while, but At that time of your history, and in the years preceding that, you were far from being a superior club to Millwall. There's plenty of clubs Millwall fans may feel inferior towards. Charlton aren't one of them. For the reasons I gave above.blackpool72 said:
